  1. congrats everyone! I PASSED TOO!!!! WOO HOO:roll
  2. I'm freaking out also! Took my test yesterday - had 75 ques....bout 5 select all that apply....no math and a lot of priority/delegation and drugs I have never heard of! ugghhh
  3. yea just search online "kaplan nclex" and you will see. I called the 800 number to sign up for an actual class. They offer online classes too. It can't hurt to take it.
  4. I rem I was nervous also when I interviewed....do you know who it's with? The teachers there are so wonderful, they really make the school what it is. Cochran nurses have a great reputation. I know they have been accepting larger classes now, and they even accept in the spring too. I started spring 05 and my class had about 40 students - now that I graduated, there were probably only 15 of us left! but You will be fine don't worry.
  5. Thanks I think....that kind of makes me feel a little worse. But anyhow, thanks to chuck I'm going to sign up for the Kaplan course tomorrow and just get back to my practice questions
  6. Everyone I have grad with has had a hard time getting an OB job. They do not have a lot of nurses giving up those positions! And they get scooped up quickly! But if you keep serching online I'm sure you will come across something.
  7. You guys should apply to the Cochran School of Nursing in Yonkers....I just grad from there , it was great
  8. don't worry they all hire ADN's ....Nurses are in such demand
  9. Hey this happened to me also....I found all the BSN programs asked for a 3.5 and all of these crazy pre-req's....It would have taken forever. I have a Bachelor of Arts, and decided to go back for my Associates in Nursing. Cochran School of Nursing in Yonkers - It was really great. The faculty is wonderful and you really get good hands on experience. The 2 years went by so quickly...it was less money, and now when I go back for the bridge program I will be working as an RN and the hospital will pay for my furthering my education.
  10. Hey I did my inter there last summer ...it was great! The nurses really loved working there and the patients really appriciate your work. It can be stressful and emotional as well....but very rewarding at the same time. I just accepted a job there as a new nurse. I will be starting very soon! oh and their pay just increased as well.
  11. Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center - best place to work
  12. I found out yesterday that I failed my NCLEX for the 1st time. I don't know what happened. I did really well in Nursing School and I never failed anything! I was so nervous about this though. I need some tips on how to prepare for the next exam...hopefully in 45 days. What really works? Should I sign up for Kaplan? Study groups? Is the test format getting harder now??? :uhoh21: pls help
  13. Hey i know exactly how you feel. I found out yesterday that I failed my NCLEX also. Easter Sunday! It really sucked. I was really in shock. I know I worked so hard throughout nursing school and I had the job that I really wanted lined up for me to start next week. But today I got myself together and sent my application out again so I can retake this thing in 45 days. I also found out that the hospital will hold my position until then. So I was very excited. So, just keep your head up...and things will fall into place. My problem was that I made myself so nervous over this thing and looked way too much into the questions. I am going to try the Kaplan course and try and stay calm and focused! Anyway, good luck!
