  1. Congratulation to you. You wrote me before but I have not replied yet (I think), been so busy the past couple of months. Anyway good luck on your CRNE exam.
  2. Thats the irony of it. She failed NLE 4 times already but she is astoundingly successful on her business. Hope you are getting my point...Find other options.
  3. Do not loose hope. It's really wise to find a diversion to keep your thoughts away from the present situation. An example is a friend of mine establish a small business right after nursing graduation. After couple of years ,she was very successful on her other chosen field as she bought car and properties just from the small business she started awhile back. Sometime we have to be practical and think of ways to earn money and pay the bills. Because at the end of the day still earning money is prime over prestige or achievements.
  4. @ pinay nurse ako, I have a cousin in Germany and she is studying full time to become a nurse. First of all Tiger Lily is right, learn the language by heart. You can start as early as now. There is the Goethe-Institute here in Manila, you can find it on the Manila German embassy. Since you are still young, it should be best to re-take nursing for a couple of years in Germany for your smooth transition. Good luck
  5. hello king 2005, I have applied to CNO last year and as far as my initial assessment goes, I was deemed ineligible to write the CRNE in 2009. I am a graduate of BS Respiratory Therapy and BS Nursing. ( Second courser/Double Degree holder). I have submitted both of my transcripts in each of my degree with course descriptions. But despite the fact of my credentials I was give the option to withdraw or submit additional documents. Thus far after a year long of application, I have completed 12 units of Masteral Arts in Nursing here in the Philippines and 6 months of Clinic nurse experience. I shall be repackaging my application by submitting my Baccalaureate Equivalency Table together with my employment certificate with the B form and additional transcripts with course description. My advise to you, get your transcript from your Accountancy degree together with the course descriptions. And also fill in the employment forms as your work experience may fill in the inadequacy of your nursing education ( if ever its inadequate). Communicate with your assessor and provide a time table for the submission of additional documents. Good Luck :)
  6. Hello everyone, im in the same boat as everyone. Please do tell how worse am I in comparison. I am a December 2007 RN passer and in the same year , I gave birth to my daughter (now turning 3). So as a newly single mom I took care of my baby full time while not being able to work nor I was in any efforts to seek one. In June 2009, (Almost 2 years of baby sitting) I enrolled and took Master of Arts in Nursing then only earned units. However unable to finish the second semester because I took NCLEX in January 2010. Unprepared with only 3 days before the exam of studying, I failed NCLEX. So now wanting to redeem myself I planned to go to Canada in August to prepare and sit for the October 2010 CRNE. Being there 2 months ahead of the test date will give enough time to prepare and study without having to run and take care of my handful kid. hus I think I might have a better chance in passing. CRNE first then if I have the chance to sit for NCLEX second time I will accomplish both. So to everyone here just explore your options. If you happen to stumble and fall, stand up and strive harder the next time... Good luck to all of us :)
  7. Hello everyone! thanks a lot for leaving a comment. I guess you are all right, Im really not prepared to give my best but its all my fault. It would really take a miracle for me to pass nclex. I just did Kaplan 2009-2010 review book and answered a total of 360 questions within the 2 days period. I scored 48% and 53% in the 2 subtest. While I still have 4 weeks to receive my official result (from California), lesson is " One can't serve two Kings at the same time". I was torn between Nursing graduate school, Single parenthood and NCLEX... Anyways, Thanks again forummers :)
  8. Hello to all, I just took the nclex last jan 29 after doing the pearson trick yesterday I think I failed. My journey before my exam is not as stringent or tough as any of the nclex taker here in this forum. I didn't study as much as I wanted because Im attending attend nursing graduate school at the same time here in the Philippines. Also a month before my exam date, I took care of my 2 year old daughter full time. Her nanny unexpectedly left us ruining my plans to focus on nclex. So I started studying just 2 days before my nclex so I wouldnt be entirely shock at the testing center. Now here I am hurt and depressed. To anyone here in the forum who did the nclex in manila, when did you try the Pearson vue trick? after a 3 days, 4, 5, 1 week, 2 weeks? I didn't try the trick today though. Anyhow I stopped at 75 and I thought my exam was ok. I checked my answers when I got home and they were correct. Well i guess I should just have to accept that I failed and its a bummer but its all my fault.
  9. Hello everyone... I also will write the NCLEX this January 27th for the first time. But Im not so sure if I'll pass it or not. Because I'm taking care of my 2 year old daughter (Full- time). Her nanny left us couple of days before new years eve and she never returned as she promised she would . So now I kinda accepted that I might fail. I don't attend any live review classes nor read and answer questions . Im not anxious for the exam just easy about it. But Im still waiting and hoping for a new nanny any day from now as I already called the agency. My plan is as soon as a new nanny comes in and works for me I'll catch up on my review as I have a whole lot of catching up. But who knows when I should start doing that. Its all kinda my fault. Right now Im juggling Nursing Graduate School, single parenting and NCLEX review all at the same time so God help me..What should happen, I'll keep it posted in here. Good luck to us NCLEX takers.
  10. And also after filling my remark, the IDP Office manager specifically told me that enquiry results may arrived after 5 weeks. I understand how you feel. Just keeping asking them if the results are in. You have the right to know.
  11. Bubblynrs, I took my IELTS exam at IDP Philippines not British Council. As according to their website, expect your results after 8 weeks. Perhaps it will take longer than IDP.
  12. I submitted it last Oct 21. Results came out Nov 23
  13. Hello everyone, After nearly five weeks of waiting, I finally got my new ielts score. L- 7.5, R- 7, W, -6.5, S -7 So to any one who have to go through the same anxiety and uncertainty of your scores improving , I'm a living testimony. My scores were raised both on writing and speaking. If you knew in your heart that you were aggravated, fight for it and don't let the politics of first impression basis and crab mentality bring you down. God is good all the time..
  14. Hi Sheng!, Congrats for passing the CRNE exam. My story is a quite different from yours but I'll share it anyways... I was a graduate of BS Respiratory Therapy in 1998. I went and work in a cruise ship for two years and didn't practice my degree as much as I wanted to because of my preference to travel and work. After a stint at the ship I lived in the US for a year with my American BF. Preceding an in and out of trip to the US working as a caregiver. Hence I didn't stay that long enough to become a resident because my BF and I broke up. So in 2005 I went back to the Philippines, and decided to study nursing so I graduated in 2007 and eventually became an RN in Feb 2008. For year I didn't do anything, I didn't get a job because I was raising my newborn daughter. But in November 2008, I took the proficiency exam of my first course and I earned the tittle of Certified Respiratory Therapist. In 2009 I have to put my life on tract, as I have a daughter to raise . I decided to pursue my application in Canada. In March 2009 I sent an application for eligibility in CNO. But June 2009, they sent me the letter of option asking if I could send additional job or course description related to nursing . Another option is to withdraw and receive the letter of direction and do the bridging course. So my decision was to send additional course description as right now, Im in my second term of graduate school taking up Master of Arts in Nursing Major in Clinical Management and set to study until summer of next year. Im a 32 year old single mother, earning my third degree .If I will finish in time for next year, I'll earned another title. CNO gave me that determination to continuing pursuing further and further studies. It was not my plan to do more studying but I have to do it anyways (no job avaliable opportunities for RNs). And since I don't have a present application for PR , PNP or TWP. There is no way I will be able to be accepted and be enrolled on a bridging program. Nevertheless , I got lucky an acquired a two year multiple entry TRV last August 2009. Thus after a long and grueling road my plans to pursue a career in Canada Im starting to see clearer , but it all comes down in Gods blueprint. God speed!!! You will find a job sheng, Plenty of opportunity will come your way! ^_- Rogue
  15. Posted by keeksbrit Just because you want to live in the USA does not give you the right to lie in order to achieve that. Sorry if that offends you but I am disgusted. I don't wish to live in the US. I just flew to the US for a vacation and to do shopping...and over and over I didn't lie completely because it was few days shy the registration day.
