oh gosh, I am also taking patho this summer and we just started acidosis/alkalosis today! we spent like 10-20 minutes on it! i want to offer some tips but I am in the same scenario as you are=) so far I have been reading the assigned chapters before lecture. it really does help understand what the professor is talking about. i take notes shorthand and then i re-write it at home amd make it more concise. Good luck to both of us and anyone else who's taking it!

Oh yeah, I am taking it with Dr.I and you are right -- she KNOWS her stuff! She didn't hesitate to spend 10 minutes re-iterating the process of Acid-Base Balance. lol half of us were lost but she made it clearer! anyway, thanks again=)

I am taking pathophysiology during this summer at PVAMU-Houston. I decided to take it now so I can solely focus on the subject since I have heard it is one tough class. Can any of you please give tips from your experiences in studying for patho especially for those of you that took it at PVAMU? I have already borrowed the book "Patho Physiology Made Incredibly Easy!" from numerous posts on the forums by students who said it made patho a whole lot easier to understand. I hope so!

Hey everyone. I'm interested about joining TWU-Houston for Spring 2008. I completed all my pre-req's with a GPA of 3.2. I've read in the forums that their cut off is 3.7. Is there anyway I can raise my GPA by re-taking classes? If so, which ones should I do over and what are the core classes they're looking at.

Rocky, I have been checking my UTlink account everyday and so far I still see the words, "...status still pending waiting for admissions committee...". does this mean that I have not been accepted to the Generic BSN program? I really want to be in the program. I just wish they could tell me whether or not I got in!! Congratulations to all of you who got accepted, my wishes goes out to you=)
