  1. I got to tell ya, I love both my direct supervisors! We are able to talk to them about anything without the worry of their reactions. My supervisor actually called me when I was sick for a whole week to check and see if she could do anything for me!!!!! This is the only job i've had where I can say honestly that I LOVE MY SUPERVISOR!!!!!!!! She understands I have a family and that THEY come first. I'm blessed to be where I am.
  2. Unfortunatly, I too see too much of this type of behavior and it puzzles me! What I have found is that no matter where you work, you'll still have these type of people to deal with. When I'm at work, I work. I don't want to listen to gossip, or play on the internet like most of them do. It's frustrating.
  3. Nope..I've been an LPN for 10 years, and my jobs here in Wisconsin have always covered me...
  4. I actually bought a folder with 8 inner folders that was lightweigh to carry all forms I may need, and with my visit schedule as wel as printed directions. I also have one set up only for the office, such as trainings, in-services, etc. Plus I have one just for all the committees I'm on. Also, I have a nurses bag from a uniform store, kind of pricey, but it's lasted a long time and has soo many compartments for blood pressure cuff, etc. When I go into the home, I just have my one folder with everything inside. :) Good luck!!
  5. Thank you both for your input. It's fun to see how things used to be compared to today. My mom recalls when patients smoked in their rooms in hospitals and nurses/Dr.'s smoked in the nursing stations. Keep em coming! :)
  6. Hello, I'm working on a project for Nurse's Week coming up. Do any nurses remember "the good old days"? Have any interesting "duties"you used to do that aren't done anymore? I'm looking for facts, trivia questions, or just interesting stories you may have. Thank you!!!! :)
