  1. egood I think your work place has made a good compromise. Unfortunately my place of work has not made this compromise. My place of work has put us (RNs) in royal blues tops and either white or royal blue bottoms. They provided us with two sets of scrubs!!. That's it. They are very cheap. Im a very tiny woman and Im swimming in them. I have to fold the top of my pants over twice. I can't alter the bottoms because the crotch of my pants hang down to my knees. As far as patient satisfaction I have a huge sign that says RN on my name tag. I can understand uniformed scrubs in like areas of peds and OB, and I agree I don't want sponge bob's nurse working on me in ICU, but I totally disagree with uniforms. Sorry for the rant.
  2. OMG!! I am so happy to see Im not the only one feeling these things. Tryng to get on 3-11, but have to wait until my position is filled on nights. Seriously looking for a new job.
  3. Also, you have to think about how long that bag of NS had been sitting there before she used it. It's not a good thing if it was an old bag. Risk of infection.
  4. One hospital that I know of that has LPNs is South Suburban Hospital in Hazelcrest. Whether they hire them out of school, I have no clue.
  5. Thanks you guys. I was also wondering if you knew where I could find out online what area of nursing gets sued the most. Im thinking Emergency and L&D, but I need proof.
  6. Hey guys, I know this question has probably been done way to many times, but I really wanted to just take a poll. Do you have liability insurance (if your a nurse) or do you plan on getting it (for student)? Could you just give me a yes or no and a short comment if you'd like? Then tell me whether your a student or a nurse. It would also be awesome if you told me where the best place to get ins. if you have. Just give me the info you feel comfortable about giving. I would be so grateful.:monkeydance:
