  1. I am looking forward to relocating to another state. I would like to know how much experience would I need to make this transition upon graduating from the nursing program? (Taking into consideration passing the boards)
  2. hirami replied to jc1207's topic in General Nursing
With any career I think its natural to be very scared and nervous. I am finishing up my pre-reqs also and I think my doubt will start to kick in when I'm actually excepted into the program. I just think your feelings are more excitement than fear. You sound determined and motivated, you'll make a fabulous nurse. Don't give up!!!!
  3. All you have to do is contact the facility in question and just ask who is her superior. Explain your situation to him/her. I'm pretty sure someone can relay the message to the nurse manager. Don't stess yourself too much. This really is a simple problem.
  4. Well, it sounds like you are doing your research. Maybe you need to sit down and watch a video on a particular career choice and see what it entails. You'll know what choice to make.
  5. If you are really unhappy you must do what is in your best interest. I would leave a voice mail. She wasn't being considerate to you when she up and left for the day. She can find a replacement........Good Luck!
  6. I'm 29 also and I attend NCC in Long Island, currently taking my Pre-req. Don't give up your dream to become a nurse. You do not have to travel out of state to accomplish your goal. Do your research! Try Molly College they don't usually have a waiting list in the fall semester. I spoke with a represetaive from the school. Also try Farmingdale in LI.
  7. I definitely take my hat off to you. Im not taking any chances when it comes to A&P and Micro so Im taking those courses strictly by itself. I don't want to risk not getting into the program. I work 45 hours a week.(Mandatory) I wish I could quit my job but it pays for school. I am not lucky like others to recieve financial aid.
  8. You have a right to be nervous. From what I here this course it no joke. I purchased a review book to give me a head start. Good Luck!
  9. Taking a summer course in A&P I is very stressful. I am waiting this fall to take this course by itself. Need to recieve a high grade.
  10. What steps would I have to take to become a surgical nurse after obtaining a degree as a RN?
  11. Does anyone know the starting salary for surgical nurse?
