  1. Bridge Program

Hi yall, I started school on Monday to complete the last of my pre-reqs. We were having a discussion with the main instructor of our program. We were all asking about the LPN to RN bridge program. This is what she told us. Get our LPN license, work...
  2. boards need to regulate MA's

Well, I dont know where you all are from, but here MA'S are required to go to school for 15 months, NOT 8 WEEKS! Now the CNA's HAve to go for 12 weeks. So I am a little perplexed by only 8 weeks of training. However, you all need to think that if it ...
  3. boards need to regulate MA's

I resent the fact that CMA'S are looked upon as cheap substitutes. I am very passionate about my job and the care my patients receive from me. I WILL NOT PERFORM SOMETHING THAT IS OUT OF MY POTENTIAL FOR A DR. OR ANYONE! And yes, I have been fired fr...
  4. boards need to regulate MA's

I am a MA and I take my job very serious. I will not do anything that I AM NOT LICENSED to do. If it is a job that takes soemone with more skill, I will let them do it, and be there to assist if necessary. I am not qualified to perform many duties, s...

  10. First Hospice Experience....enough to bring a man to tears

It is a very difficult job to do it, what makes it a little better for me is just the knowing that I MADE A DIFFERENCE in this person's life. Maybe if it is just trying to control their pain as much as possible.
  11. Hospice Nursing

I love working hospice, it is very difficult because you become attached to the patient, as well as the family. It is almost like someone in your family has passed on. My grandpa passed away on hospice, he died at home and that got me interested in h...
  12. Where are you from?

I live right below Henry county, in Butts county. I was just wandering how many other student nurses live in this general area like Griffin, Jackson, McDonough, Stockbridge, or anywhere close to me. I am interested in meeting friends.
  13. Do nurses support physician assisted suicide?

Wow, this is a deep subject. However, I have mixed feelings about this subject. I strongly feel that NO ONE has the right to play GOD, he is the decider of when and how each of us should die. The bible tells us, that he will put no more on each of us...
  14. Are nurses in other nations bilingual? Should US be?

I live in the UNITED STATES, If you are gonna live here, then you need to first come the legal way, learn the language, and get a job, and PAY YOUR TAXES! Okay I am gonna hush now before I upset someone.

My thoughts and prayers also go out to the family of the guy who shot all these folks as well as to the shooter's family as well. We need to remember his family also. God Bless all who suffered a loss today. We are there for you always.
  18. Just remember, there are no coincidenses in life. You were meant to be a nurse. I also believe that that may very well be GOD'S plan for you. Congrats, I am very happy for you.

Our LPN course is 5 semesters or 15 months long Jules. I am willing to do the work no problem. I have an open mind, just kinda get frustrated when I get so many conflicting stories from the school, it seems no one knows the answer to this wuestion. ...
