  1. I am completely obsessing about getting accepted! Until I get that letter in my hand, I will think about nothing else it seems!!! (Or maybe I'm just ready to get out of this cubicle and start school.)
  2. It's first-come first served with admissions criteria on a rolling basis. They stop accepting applications once they have enough to fill the class (which does happen pretty quickly from what I'm told). I think people aren't knocking down the doors trying to get in because it's very expensive ($8750 per semester tuition), and we have several CC's in the area. I'm not even looking forward to what my grand total loans will be at graduation , but it's a very good program so I'm concentrating on that. Also, the local CC's have on avg a 2 year waitlist and I personally did not want to wait that long.
  3. I know how you feel!!! I am waiting too. The school I applied to is a first-come, first-served enrollment, and it looks pretty good that I'm in, but the admissions team doesn't meet again until March, so I feel like I'm going to go insane waiting on that letter!!!!! :selfbonk: It's hard to keep from obsessing!
  4. Thanks for this thread! I think it's funny that you mention that OR nurses have the rep of "eating their young". My friend is an OR nurse and she says the exact same thing! I am still waiting to hear if I am accepted into nursing school, but I dream of becoming an OR nurse one day. I can't wait for the challenge and "running around like crazy" as my friend tells me.
  5. I am part of the waiting game now also! My packet is now complete and I will be with the group that gets review when the admission team meets in March. So I will no by no later than March 30th. Until then I'm going to feel like this -- .
  6. I'm keeping my fingers crossed to get in for Fall 2007 for the ADN program - Class of 2009! I met with the nursing admissions counselor today. They are just waiting on my college transcript (from my first degree) that was mailed (I just confirmed it), so hopefully I'll be able to complete my application packet within the next two weeks! She told me that the admissions council will meet again in March and the class is only half full so it looks good for me to get in. They fill the class by first-come first-served as long as you meet all the requirements. So until I get that approval letter I am praying nothing goes wrong! :uhoh21:
  7. name: mel school: bethel college program: adn what area of interest at this time: nicu is #1; or is #2 biggest fear: that i'll screw up! :uhoh21: what you'd like us to know about you: i have wanted to be a nurse for quite awhile now. i went to college after hs and got a degree, but by the time i realized what i really wanted to do, i was halfway through another major and pushed off my dream. then life got in the way and now here i am... i feel like i'm at the point where it's now or never. i'm still waiting to find out if i'm in for fall 2007, but i'm keeping my fingers crossed!
