Lovenox is a form of heparin. your dad will likely be taken off lovenox after his pt levels are acceptable with the coumadin.

I don't know the legal aspect, but I would think it would be better to contact the authorities and be wrong than to do nothing. What if something did happen?!!!

I have been on 5 interviews in the past 2 weeks. It hasn't been as bad as I've imagined. There have been some senarios question, questions about what you like most/least about your job (you could plan those answers), some people were easy going and others were straight to the point. Overall it hasn't been too bad. I don't know if you can prepare. Just be on time, take a copy of your cover letter, resume, and references (even if you think they may have it, because it may not have been passed on by HR) and stay hydrated. That sounds stupid, but you'll talk a lot and you don't want to get cotton mouth, it's not very becoming. GOOD LUCK

i couldn't terminate a pregnancy under the circumstances that things couldbe wrong. if an amnio could determine, without a doubt, a certain condition, maybe my decision would be different. i had a friend who's unborn child was found to be without a portion of his brain through an us. she was at the doctor's appointment for the abortion procedure and could not go through with it. she had the baby and he lived for a short time, but she has never regretted her decision. but you're right that's a decision i hope i never have to make!

I'm not sure how long it was for me to get my ATT, I wanted to wait as long as possible to take boards. I actually took them on the day my temps ran out, that was a monday, got my license on Thursday, and had a baby the following Monday!!!

i worked med/surge that was 14:1 with a LPN and an aide. it was hard to do any "pt care" with those numbers, and I had an LPN who passed 90% meds. the CNA's would be a lot of help, but you would be ultimately responsibe and face it, there is only so much a CNA is allowed to do. I think it sounds dangerous and it being a teaching hospital for nurses, I think they need to rethink their assignments big time. Good luck with your decision!

I think you've answered your own question. You had to take the one job, but no one can live without benefits, plus it's exactly what you want and you'll probably stay there a while so on a resume who cares if there was a blip where you were only at a job for a few months when you stayed at the next one for a couple years. I say go for it. especially if the only reason why you don't want to is because you'll "feel bad" for quitting. it's your life not your employers!
