  1. Ummm, INTENSE! Had my first med surg lecture today....and all I can say is....INTENSE....
  2. There are power outlets through out the classrooms, but my battery lasts all through lecture. Just make sure you turn on the powersaving options and it will be fine.
  3. At CSN, they do not allow recorders in the first semester. Not sure if this rule applies for subsequent semesters, though. And I have to agree with you on reading the chapters. DON"T get behind in the reading!!
  4. When I open the lecture notes, it always has the open field at the bottom where you can type notes. If not, save the file as a power point presentation 2003, and it should open with the notes field.
  5. I wore white drawstring pants that I bought from Walmart :chuckle this semester (fall 08) and no one ever checked .
  6. I use a laptop during lecture and if you can type quickly I say go for it. At CSN they post the powerpoints online so you can pull them up during class and type your notes right on the bottom of the powerpoint while she is lecturing.
  7. I am taking it online, and all I can say is stay on top of your reading, do all of the workbook homework and you will do fine.
  8. Yes, I took that class, and I must say that it was a great help when it came to writing careplans this semester. So, in other words, money well spent.
  9. Aussie you are correct, they called sooner than they told us they would begin calling. hdxdoode, yes I am in the program now, started Fall 08.
  10. Last semester I received a call about week and a half earlier (if I'm recalling correctly) than they stated they would start calling people, so hopefully they will do the same this semester! Good luck!
  11. I find it interesting to come across this topic today, because during lecture today, our instructor handed out P&P cds (like the kind that comes in the back of the book) and she said since the text has so many errors, the cd was given by the company to provide the corrected information. I would definately inquire about it if you are not offered one.
  12. Don't worry about that, mine still says in progress for Micro and I took it 3 or 4 semester ago!! I was still accepted in the program for Fall 08. Your transcript, which you have to submit with the DARS, will have your completed grade for the class.
  13. I was accepted for Fall 08 with 28 points. I noticed that they require the TEAS test now. So I guess Spring 09 will be the last time they accept NLN scores. Good luck to those applying.
  14. I'm still waiting...tccjtnv, if you don't mind me asking, how many points did you have so i know if I stand a chance.
  15. As a matter of fact, I got a call yesterday!!! But it was to tell me that they couldn't find my NLN results lol !! Oh well, the wait goes on...do you think they will start calling before Dec 4?
