Is there ANY hospitals left that still have pensions vs 401/403s?
  2. Just as a FYI for everyone waiting on their "quick results" to post. I was dying all day Thursday, waiting and waiting. I never got my results once I got to the 48 hour mark of my appt time, I got on live chat, and he told me that you have to wait 48 hours from the time your test shut off on you. I was going crazy! I stopped my test roughly about 3:10pm, and exactly at 3pm, my results posted. They also told me, that the computer is programmed to release your results at the appropriate time, so I don't think anyone has to worry about the 4th of July and getting the results! Figured I would let you know, just in case any of you are going through what I was! LOL I wish you all the best! Good luck, and CONGRATS to everyone who already is a RN! ~Christine~
  3. Well, FINALLY they posted my results......I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!! So, the PVT worked for me! ~Christine~
  4. I know how all of you are feeling! I took my NCLEX-RN on the 29th, and I have checked probably a million times for the pop-up. Everytime I get the good one. I am 45 minutes away from my 48 hour time limit for my quick results, and it is ABSOLUTELY killing me! LOL When the computer shut off at 89 questions for me, I thought for sure I had failed. I just wanted to cry the whole hour drive back home, but I held my composure until I got to my computer to check the pop-up trick. I think that just because I got the good pop-up is the only reason I have survived the last two days! LOL I pray to God it works.....cause I honestly don't think I can handle much more of this drama! LOL I wish you all the best of luck.....and CONGRATS to all you new RN's!!!!!!!!! ~Christine~
  5. Well good luck on your test! It really isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be! The study guide is exact to how the test is.
  6. Are you on the list already?
  7. Just giving a bump
  8. I am starting the nursing program this fall, and just curious if there are any other Mott students on here to. Would love to stress out with someone!
  9. At Mott here in Michigan, we have to have an 80% to pass.
  10. I too am starting this September. I am quite nervous and excited all in one! I have heard so many horror stories of the 1st year, then I have heard a few say that it was cake. So I guess I will not know until I get in on how I will react to it. I too am relishing my time with the kids, and trying to get things done around here that have been put off due to my hectic school schedule the past 2 semesters. I have every intent to do something special at least once a week with the kids, even if it means just camping in the backyard. GL to you all!
  11. Thank you! I guess I do have the wrong MCC, mine is Mott up in Flint. I noticed that there were 2 MCCs later after I had already posted this! Thank you again, and GL to you and your program too!
  12. Can someone give me some info on the Michigan Works grants? I have never heard of this. I looked on their site and couldn't find anything either. I would greatly appreciate it! TIA Christine
  13. Hope you don't mind me just jumping in, but where are you guys in the program? I see that NBMOM is starting this fall too, but what about the rest of you? I too am starting this September. I have the B3 block. I wish I knew who was teaching, it is driving me crazy!!!! I am really hoping to get Dr Montpas. I had her for pharm, and yes she was hard, but I loved her style. I hear they won't post till just before the semester begins. I have a question about the scopes? Do you have to already have one for 101? I have one already, but I want to get a new one, this one is years old! I got it when I graduated from EMT class in 95. Anyhow, if any of you are already in and have any advice for us newbies, please share! Christine
  14. I also use rate my professors.com. I find it to be very helpful finding the good teachers. You really need to read all of the ratings though, don't just base it on a couple of ratings. You may have a disgruntled student give a very bad rep for him, but the rest are very good. Another thing to look at is the dates. Some of the bad reviews may be from years ago, and now they are good. This site has saved my butt from bad teachers more than once! GL *~Christine~*
