hi everyone, just thought i would let all know i am going back to work on 4/16 and i am a nervous wreck ,been a STNA for 2 yrs.but been fighting MRSA for 14 months finally released from dr soooooo i am off and running please wish me luck. i am waiting to find out if i got into medical term soon if so and do good hopefully will be starting nursing school in Aug . All prayers will be appreciated

this is very encouraging also to me however my nerves are getting to me just thinking about this journey ,i just found out i failed the workkeys math part and starting to doubt my self ( if i cant even pass this test how can i even think about going into nursing) however i have already scheduled my retest and going for refresher class soon ......... so thanks for this site;)

OMG you all are soooo way far ahead of me and i can see at least i dont fill alone ,i just took the workkeys assessment test and didnt pass 2out of the 3 and have cried all day , have already registered for the next test was just wondering did anyone else have a problem with this test, i know this is childish but, i oh so want to be a nurse oh well thanks 4 listening

chaundrah....... please take my advise about Norwood this is a very bad place to live ,i just moved my daughter out of that neighborhood its full of drugs ,crime and alot of ppl looking to take advantage of anyone they can get to

iwant2be..call the visiting nurse association they use STNA, how do i know this when i was sick they came to my home and beings i an a STNA i was talking to them and all my nurses said that their company was always looking for STNA there ,oh by the way i live 20 minutes soth of dayton. i hope this helps

hi everyone i am a newbie here and to nursing , i grew up in Cincy and moved here in Trenton Ohio in 04 got my STNA license in 05 worked in LTF in Middletown that about killed me so went to home health and was loving it then got sick, took me a yr to get well again so here i am starting school soon hopefully after i pass all these test to get into still got to get CPR and medical terminology done then who knows what else but here i am ,just wanted to say hello

Babygirl, well in my situation with my class our 1st wk was all classes then the next week we had classes for 3 days then we had our clinicals for 2 days however everyday after our classroom we would have a testand had to pass to keep going ,yes the classes are intense and yes you learn alot well i am just starting nursing , i have had 2 meetings and got another and i am still trying to get school documents however i just found out i may have tore my rotary cuff going for MRI next wk and then surjery ,i am really upset because in Nov of 05 i had started doing this this procedure had to have surjery in Decand omg i developed a staff infection ( MRSA) and it took 1 whole yr for this( 06) yes a yr ihad surgical debridments -3 and then was on a wound vac fot 5 months and i was just starting to fill good with this school thing then i done this I just wonder if if god is trying to tell me something sorry so long but i just got back from dr and am so upset

hi everyone, my name is Jowanna and i live in ohio i am 47 yr old i have had my STNA license for about 15 months have worked in long term facility and also done home health and that i love, however i developed mrsa and have been down a yr. i go to orientation on the 22of Jan for nursing school .i have always wanted to be a nurse so i am taking the leap and scared to death ,wishing everyone good luck
