Owing Taxes and Licensing
UPDATE: Here it is, Keep in mind this for Maryland from BON. RE:Notice of Maryland Tax Deficiency Notice of Impending Denial of License or Certificate Dear Licensee or Certificate-holder: During the past legislative session, the Maryland General Assembly decreed that the Maryland State Boards and Commissions, including the Maryland Board of Nursing (the "Board"), may not renew licenses or certificates where the licensee or certificate-holder is delinquent in payment of taxes to the State of Maryland. Please note that the Board of Nursing has no discretion in this matter and is not authorized to make exceptions to the law passed by the General Assembly. You are hereby advised to contact the Comptroller at 410-974-2432 immediately to arrange for payment of your tax deficiency. Until the Board receives verification from the Comptroller that you have paid the delinquent taxes or made arrangements for payment that are satisfactory to the Comptroller, renewal of your license/certification will be delayed. DO NOT CALL THE BOARD OF NURSING TO DISCUSS THIS MATTER; COMMUNICATION WITH THE COMPTROLLER IS THE ONLY METHOD THAT WILL RESOLVE YOUR TAX DELINQUENCY AND THE RESULTING DELAY IN RENEWAL. Once you have resolved your tax dispute, the Comptroller will notify the Board that the hold on your renewal is lifted. The Board will then be authorized to proceed with renewal of your license or certificate. Sincerely, Donna M. Dorsey, R.N., M.S. Executive Director

Owing Taxes and Licensing
I heard if you owe taxes, the state will not issue you your License...is that true? Someone else said, if you owe as long as you have a payment plan established that they will allow you to get your license. Help...because I owe and it's going to take a while to pay off. chiari

Ending Employment Assignment
Update my assignment has been extended until May 30:roll . So that's another 2 months. As long as the agency can keep me working, I am fine with working as a temporary for the time being. My focus is on school and as long as I can pay my bills...I am going to focus on school stuff.:smiletea2: Chiari:smilecoffeeIlovecof

Well, I currently work for an temporary agency, my actually job site is at a bank. Well I've been at this assignment believe or not, for 2 years. This morning I found out my last day may be Friday. The supervisor is fighting for them to hire me but, most likely they won't, and if they would consider hiring me I wouldn't get pass the application process due to my Poor, Poor Credit...I owe Taxes. chiari

DON'T DO THAT LOSTINTRENTON! Simply because you failed a test you don't give up, you study and re-test until you pass. If you were in allready in the nursing program and failed a test would you quit...:angryfire No! you'd probably do what I would, pout, complain, have a pity party and STUDY AND RETEST! chiari
