Where did you do pre reqs?
Hey JoJo- I am considering Emory as well. I went to Emory the first time in college and here I am again thinking about their nursing program. When are you going to start? My first BA was in pschology and sociology, and I have been teaching for several years. I am just not sure how flexible Emory will be with my family schedule-2 kids and a morning teaching job. Any information you can share would be greatly appreciated!! you can p.m. me if you want! Thanks!

Accepted to Georgia Baptist Fall2007
Yes, I am taking A&P at GPC currently. Does Mercer have a second degree program? Are you getting Financial Aid? It seems that Mercer is almost as expensive as Emory! mimi2nurse

Relocating to the Atlanta area from D.C. area
Hi there, I have talked to several people who have said that Children's Health Care of Atlanta is a wonderful place to work (it is associated with Scottish Rite too):wink2: . I'm not a nurse yet, but CHOA will definitely be my first pick! I was born and raised here, so you just have to know the good areas to live in. Feel free to send a p.m. Good Luck!!

Hello. I'm also at GPC taking pre-req's...anatomy this semester wheeee! Are you talking about Mercer's nursing program? I shadowed a nurse at Piedmont Hospital last week and would highly recommend it to anyone thinking about nursing!

Atlanta Area LPN's
Hey Loriwga, Have you heard of Brenau's program? They offer their program nights and weekends only catch is that they are in Gainesville, which is too far for me! I have been teaching preschool for the last few years and raising my children age 3 & 5, so do you think I could find a position at Emory that is flexible? Thanks for your feedback! mimi2nurse

Atlanta Area LPN's
Hello loriwga, I saw one of your other responses that said you already had your BA in Psych, and were looking for a nursing school, did you find one? Also, is your job at Emory as an LPN? I graduated from Emory in 1996 and am debating whether or not to go back. Thanks for your input! Alicia;)
