Passed With 75!
Congratulations! I also took the nclex (nclex-pn) on the 27th and found out today that I passed. I still can't believe it. Like you, I also had a lot of check all that apply questions (my test stopped at 85 and I had 10 check all that apply). Congratulations again! :balloons: Stephanie

NCLEX-PN Uhhh!
I graduated in October. About a month before graduation I bought the Saunders book and started working off the cd. I was averaging about 100 questions a day. After I graduated, I started working on the book (sometimes it helps me to actually have a book in my hand). I worked through the book twice. I did make sure and read the rationales even if I answered the question correctly. My plan was to go back and work the entire cd again, but my youngest daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy on Nov 28 and honestly, I didn't study for a few weeks after that. About a week and a half ago, I started working on the cd again. I was doing a couple of hundred questions a day. Honestly, I'm not sure how I passed the nclex. But, the Saunders book must have helped me :) If I had to do it all over again, I would follow Suzanne's plan because it uses the Saunders book. Hope this helps, Stephanie

NCLEX-PN Uhhh!
Well, I just got my results from PearsonVue. I passed!!! :balloons: This is a tremendous relief. The past 2 days have been terrible. I have extreme compassion for the people in the states where they have to wait several weeks. Thanks to everyone for letting me vent this morning. I went to bed at 2 this morning and woke up at 5. I'm sure it was due to worrying about this. I'm positive I'm running on sheer adrenaline. Thanks again to everyone, Stephanie

NCLEX-PN Uhhh!
Thanks for the support :) Honestly, I have no clue how I did. Most of my questions were prioritizing and delegation, which I usually do well at at. But...I really felt as though I was guessing. There were only a few questions that I was absolutely sure about. At the very least, the drugs I knew. I had no math questions at all. I'm checking about every 30 minutes for the result. At this point, I just want to know one way or the other. I guess what's so scary (for all of us, not just me) is that I have so much riding on this. I'll be sure and post back when I know the results. Stephanie

who used, who plans to use, and are using - suzanne's plan.
I just took the nclex on Wed and while I had planned to follow Suzanne's plan (my youngest daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy during this last month so admittedly, I have been preoccupied with her) but, I did use the Saunders book and cd to study. I did the questions in the book twice and have worked on questions from the cd since September. I'm hoping that will be enough. If I don't pass, I am going to use the Saunders book again and follow Suzanne's plan. Stephanie

NCLEX-PN Uhhh!
Well, I took the nclex on Wednesday and should find out today how I did. I can honestly say I walked out of there thinking I failed it. I felt like I guessed at half the test. The test itself only took me an hour and 15 minutes. I'm wondering now if maybe I rushed it. I just kept thinking about what one of my instructors always said to me, "Go with your first gut instinct". My brother and sister in law drove me to the test center because I was so nervous. They were surprised when I called at 10 and told them to pick me up. My test stopped at 85, but I had 10 check all that apply questions I hate those types of questions. I feel like I've read every post on this forum since I took the test. I guess I'm looking for a rationale of why I had so many darn check all that apply questions. Anyway, to those waiting for their results (like me)...I know how you feel. This has been the longest 2 days of my life. Stephanie

Atlanta Area LPN's
Hi dmarie (GA). Thanks for the congratulations. It feels a little strange that school is over. It's almost like all this time I've been so stressed out that I forgot to breathe :chuckle Actually, I received my ATT this morning, but since I'm moving this weekend, I'm going to schedule for about two weeks after that. 10 months from now, you'll be posting on here that you've graduated :) If you're anything like me, the more obstacles that get in the way, the harder you push (of course I do have days where I look up at the sky and say. "OK, this is enough).

Atlanta Area LPN's
I recently graduated from LPN school :) and I'm fixing to make a lot of life changes. I got divorced after 16 years of marriage during school (yes, this was a very stressful year) and I've found an apartment in Coweta County (Newnan area) I'm interested in. I was curious if anyone knew what kind of job market there is for a new grad LPN in that area. I've looked around but it still makes me a bit uneasy. Any reply is appreciated, Stephanie

My Hands Are A Mess! Which Lotion?
I have to second the recommendation for Curel. It has worked wonders on my skin. Even my dry, cracked nursing student feet have benefited since I started using it a few months ago. Actually, I started using Curel after doing assessment on a pt that had the softest skin. Stephanie

help with entrance exam
Hi Angie, Don't worry! I do know that's easier said than done (for me anyway). I just took the NET and it's exactly what you're thinking...fractions, decimals, ratios (just a few), and percentages. There are maybe 8 algebra problems but they are simple ones. I used the esti study guide and it was very similar to what was on the NET. Even though I'm pretty good at math, I did worry a lot about the math section. I actually found the reading part to be the most difficult. I'm not trying to add to your anxiety but I would recommend talking a look at the reading portion of the study guide as I think it would really help. It won't be near as bad as you think....trust me. Hope this helps, Steph

study guides on N.E.T./exams
Just wanted to bump this thread back up. I just got home from taking the NET. I passed with great scores! :) For those who haven't taken it yet I can't recommend highly enough buying the eri study guide. I realize the book is overpriced, but it's well worth as the NET is very similar to the book. All the advice from this thread is dead on as to what's on the NET. Thanks to everyone who took the time to answer questions on the net test. Steph

practice NETs?
That is exactly how I've been studying for the NET. Like you, I've studied the book and used a timer to time myself so if sounds like I should be ready for this. Steph
