Sorry ,must disagree . Rarely is history irrelevant . Often,it's what we learn from. Hopefully. Your ' Time in Service ' is revealing . Tip of the iceberg kind of thing . Buck up though, you'll catch on. Fact is, I read of something 'similar but different' in a Nursing history reminiscence from a woman (of course ) that described nursing routine at that time.She was to stand quietly by, After preparing His tea.To be ready when He arrived . Speak only when spoken to,and the tea need not be requested . Nor a Doctor's Orders ever questioned ! History has paved the way for you to the well-paying job that you now seem to enjoy . If you find it " irrelevant ",you've already lost. Before I forget , that bit of History was also from '98 or '99 . No peeking ! Yes, it was 1898-99, give or take a decade or two . Best Wishes , t

Uh oh.Dear Tazzi , Where ever that prayer came from ,I have to tell you it is hilarious ! Surely someone will whine about it- ( "Statistics show that 15% of domestic abuse victims are men,and many more don't admit to it,whah whah,etc." ) .Tough ---- for them. Jonathan Winters got it right with something like,more than nuclear arms ,plague or anything else ,what frightens him is a person w/o a sense of humor. Sincerely , and freezing in 4 Corners, T.I only began subscribing to allnurses.com a few weeks ago, and see the message regarding NY ( the NYBON for god'sake ) considering RNs be required to obtain a bachelor's degree. This may be an old enough message to be closed for replies. But 3 points come to mind -- someone who is the only support for a family ; it seems that I read some time back that NY is short several thousand nurses JUST in the state system ; and ND tried this a few years ago , what is the status of that now that ND is a Compact state ? One more -- what planet do those NYBON members live on ? Thanks , T .New Mexico does , too.
