  1. Hello everybody! To those who were already interviewed, where did you pass your application.. to SRO or POEA? I haven't gone to SRO yet. As for POEA, I went there around mid-February (this year) and the woman behind Window M (I think it's the window for Saudi nurse applicants) would not accept my papers because I am lacking 2 years hospital experience. Do you guys have this requirement? I don't, but I did complete several hospital trainings. Will the SRO accept my application?
  2. October? It has always been December of the same year as the month of expiration. So if I will be renewing mine next month, I have just 6 months left. Oh just great!
  3. Thanks for the response, spongebob6286. Yes, I have been thinking about east ave., but quirino is out of the question, it's so far from where I live. Anyway, thanks again.
  4. I will be submitting applications to different hospitals in Manila this week for staff nurse position. Do you know hospitals that will surely call you even after 6 months to 1 year, like Philippine Heart Center? I am willing to wait that long, because I will be starting with my call center job next month, and the tenure bond there will last for 6 months. So even though I am working in a non-nursing environment, at least I know my applications are out there. Any suggestions will be kindly appreciated. Thank you!
  5. thanks suzanne! i already searched their site, as well as that of Onward's. i feel really pressured to sign the contract. i feel that if i decline, i will be letting go of a great opportunity. anyway thanks again.
  6. hi! has anybody here passed an application in medtalents? it is a recruitment agency, and their main office is in new jersey. i sent them my resume several weeks ago. then they sent me through email several forms to fill out. then they scheduled me for a phone interview with their client. and now i received an email saying that i have been selected by onward healthcare, which - as i understand - is a placement firm based in the US, which in turn will assign me to health facilities throughout the US. attached to the email are the list of requirements, list of benefits, and the contract, which i must decide to within 3 days, otherwise it will be considered as a declined offer. i am hesitant and afraid, since all of this is new to me and medtalents is the only agency that i passed an application to, so i have no other agencies to compare it with. so if anybody here knows about, is tied up with, or has applied to, this agency, i'll be thankful for the information that you will give. thanks!
  7. thanks! i already sent an email to GSIS regarding this matter. but they haven't replied yet...maybe i'll just call them. thanks again!
  8. i am now planning to schedule for an exam (nclex) in hong kong, and the additional international scheduling fee of USD150 is paid through VISA or MasterCard credit card. my dad holds a GSIS eCard Plus. it's a VISA card. but i am not sure if i can use it.. has anybody here already used this card for nclex purposes? thanks...
  9. after resigning from my job and thinking it over for almost a month, i finally surrendered my license last tuesday so that i can retake the whole exam. actually, this thread inspired me to do that... there were many of my batchmates who already did the same, and the support from the other users for us retakers is overwhelming. to all june 06 passers who will retake the upcoming boards - partial (3 and 5) or full - GOOD LUCK TO US ALL! we've been through a lot already... and this might be the final hurdle of this year-long torture that's been keeping us from achieving our dreams. thanks to those who support us and believe that we'll make it AGAIN.. God bless!!!
  10. the lecturers of my school's in-house review suggest that we read NCLEX reviewer books like Saunder's, Mosby's and Lippincot - especially the compilation of NCLEX questions - since the new BON is giving NCLEX-based questions now, unlike the past BON, who were used to giving "subjective" type of questions. for CHN, read Maglaya, scan DOH and IMCI. good luck!
  11. hey thanks for the info!
  12. hi! how can i get the application form from nevada BON if I am applying for licensure? i am from the philippines. i already visited their website, and it looks like the request for application forms there are only for those who reside in the US. and actually it's a friend of mine who's planning to apply there. thanks a lot!
  13. hi! i'm planning to retake the whole board exam this june, and i haven't filed for registration in prc yet. i just want to ask.. in case i fail this time, what will happen? am i allowed to retake again (that is, the subject where i got a failing grade) on december? because somebody from my school told me that i won't be allowed to retake the boards again if i fail the full exam... which is very frightening and frustrating at the same time.. having my license already and surrendering it just to get over this issue. please enlighten me... thanks a lot!
  14. congratulations! what state did you apply for licensure to anyway? and how much is the review in URC? thanks a lot and again... congratulations!!!
  15. hi there. i applied for licensure in california, and i already have my ATT which is valid until march 2008. i haven't scheduled for an exam yet with pearson vue, because i'm planning to surrender my current license and retake the local nursing licensure exam here in the philippines this coming june (since i am part of the leakage-tainted board exam last june 2006), to get over with this mess that we've been going through for almost a year now. since i am surrendering my license, that means that i will have a totally new license number when i pass the board exam - different from what i submitted to california board of registered nursing (i submitted a photocopy of my license). will there be a problem when i finally take the nclex? i already tried to contact the BON through email about this, but they have not yet sent their reply. am i supposed to mail them a letter of explanation or something, or maybe a document from the licensing authority here in my country? maybe someone here knows what i'm supposed to do... thanks!
