My husband I are hoping to get stationed in Virginia. Just in case I don't get into a BSN or ADN program does anyone know anything about the practical nursing programs that are sponsored (hope that's the right term) high schools? I'm looking at the...

I have a bachelor's in Business Administration and graduated with a 3.97. I never once took a science class during my undergrad. I can tell you I worked 10 times harder on this A & P class than I ever did in any of my business classes. I feel ...
I did so well on my A&P Lab final that I went form a C to a B for my final grade. I did so bad on the lecture part of A&P that I went from a B to a C (two different classes) for my final grade. You want to know what the funny thing is? I h...
How many schools will you have gone to when BEFORE you even get into Nursing school? As a military wife I've had to go to 5 schools to get my undergrad in Business Administration. Since I've started my pre-reqs, you can add one more school to the l...
My A&P I class doesn't combine the lab. The lab is a different class. I'm taking A&P I on-line over 6 weeks (I take the lab in the classroom). My first test was last week. It covered 4 chapters. There were only 18 questions on the test! ...
My husband and I have been wanting to go on a vacation. We found a cruise that was perfect. I called and booked the cruise and the air plane tickets to get there. Yeah, the cruise is in the middle of September. I didn't even THINK about school. ...
My husband is in the Navy and we're thinking about going to Virginia for our next duty station. Right now we're in Hawaii which has no LPN programs, 1 ADN program and 2 BSN programs. You can only imagine how excited I am to know that VA has so many...

I'm taking A&P right now during the summer. My instructor says that his students get better grades during the summer sessions. He also said he can't figure out why that is.

We could but we'd only get 75% of our money back for the cruise and would have to pay insane fees to the airline to rebook with them. The cost to rebook isn't worth it. Oh well! It'll be a nice break before I dive back into school again.
I've been looking at a lot of the pre-reqs for different nursing programs. Some specifically list that a class must have a lab. Other programs don't list the lab section of the class. If you're following pre-reqs (A&P, Chem, Micro) for a speci...

I don't know...if your parents say get a job or take classes, I'd be taking classes. Do you have a community college in your area? Do you know if they'll let high school students take college classes? You seem like you've got it all planned out. ...
I had to drop my Spring A&P class because I needed surgery. I can get into an A&P class for the summer, but the lab sections are all full. All the microbiology classes for the summer don't have labs. All the chem classes are full. I reall...
I had my first A & P lab on Saturday. One thing that really made me mad is that our lab starts at 12:30. I got there at 12:25. I was told that since people were already there, she went ahead and explained everything to the class. I don't unde...

I think I've figured it out. At the school I'm at, the lab and the lecture are two different classes. The lecture is 3 credit, the lab is 1 credit. You have ot register for two different classes. At other schools I think the lecture and lab are ...
I have a bachelor's degree in business. I'm starting to take my pre-reqs to try and get into some type of nursing or rad tech program. I signed up for an Anatomy and Physiology class. Class start April 7th. Class is on Monday night and all day on...
As in what do you do during lab time. I haven't had a science class since high school. This is for A&P and Microbiology. If you could just give me an idea of what you do during your lab hours, that would be very helpful!
OK, I'm graduating with my bachelors in Business Adminstration in September. I've known for quite sometime that business is not for me. After working in a hospital as a Mother/Baby patient access rep, I'm pretty sure that nursing is for me. Anywa...
I want to go into nursing. But inorder to get into the 2-year programs I need to A & P, and microbiology first. Those are classes I don't want to attempt in summer school. I can however get my CNA this summer. Do you think that getting a CNA ...
