It was hard both times, but this time i seemed to have all of these repeat questions. It was really weird. i did have 265 questions.

I took boards in February and tried the PVT and it worked. I was able to get all of the way through to the payment method and I did flunk. I just retook the boards on April 5 and when I got home I tried the PVT and the box popped up. I found out April 7th that I passed, so the PVT worked for me both times. I am finally a Registered Nurse !!

I have worked in LTC for a few years and never have i been asked to chart untruth. Yes, i feel overwhelmed sometimes DON'T MOST NURSES? I don't care where you work all nurses are overworked and under paid!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would not work for any facility that asked me to lie. All through school i was taught (Cover your A##)

Thanks everyone for your input. The reason I have asked this question is because i feel very disrespected on a daily basis, because i am not an RN. And to the nurse who replied no one ever offers to do something for her while she is doing pushes or whatever for an LPN, I have to say shame on them. I would have been happy to help you out. I don't believe this is a silly question. I just think its strange all of these nurses are saying of course your a nurse when so often i feel like i have to defend my title. I have always been told i have really good nursing skills, but when i was working at the hospital some of the nurses were not very kind. I have all of my pre-reqs done for the RN program and can not wait to finish school. The only reason i chose to get my RN is because i feel so limited as an LPN and unfortunately disrespected by other nurses. Thanks again for your input and I really do feel like im a nurse when im at work nursing. :thankya:

I am an LPN and would like for all of the RN's to be honest and answer this one question. Do you as RN's really consider an LPN a nurse? Please reply and explain why you answered yes or no. Thanks so much for your opinions.

I live in MO. and I went to a community college and the pass rate(NCLEX) for my class was 100%. Maybe you should look up the pass rates and then make a decision. I have worked with nurses that have went through the vocational schools and community college, they are all good nurses. NCLEX is the test you take after completing school to become an LPN or RN. Suesquatch How many test have you taken, and did you pass the first time? How much money do you have to pay to get started? Did you just go to the excelsior website to get started? Sorry for all the questions, but i am very interested. Do you now anyone that has taken their clinical and passed? Thanks again

I am currently an LPN and want to become an RN. I have all of my pre-req's for the RN program, but I am in burn out and do not want to sit in the classroom anymore. Has anyone completed the RN program online? I can not decide which online school is best. I love being an LPN, but I feel so limited as an LPN. Does anyone else feel limited being an LPN? I live in MO. and the hospitals, home health, and lots of other places are no longer hiring LPN's. I currently work in LTC which I enjoy, but I want more!! I feel I could take on more as an LPN, but no jobs are available.

I am an LPN and work in a LTC facility and I have so much respect and admiration for the work my CNA's do. Some personalities do not mix, but in all fairness this nurse should respect you and be a professional. If you are doing your job her personal opinion of you should never get in the way. I have been an LPN for 2 years, i am currently working at a nursing home. I worked at a hospital for a while but felt very unappreciated, because i am just an LPN. I have had people say, OH your a nurse, and when i reply yes an LPN , they say OH and change the subject. I am very proud of myself for my accomplishment. The only difference between and LPN and RN are pre-requisites, and i have taken all of them. All I have left to become an RN are 1 year of nursing classes. By the way I think if all of our prereqs are done we should be able to challenge the NCLEX for RN, I consider the clinical hours done from on the job training. Yes, I do consider myself a real nurse!!!
