Does anyone knows of cgfns??
hello everyone,,, does anyone knows of cgfns?? i know their job is to gather all the authenticity of your official documents and then sent to the New York State Education Department... Now all is done with my offical documents, they have them but they mention that the delayment is that they now need the signature of ministry of this country.. my question is are they suppose to take it that far,, they also claim that it could take up to 180 days waiting period,, is that fair?? from my understanding they are not to analyize or determine regarding your education's sufficiency or whether you have met New york's licensure requirements. can i please get help or has anyone ever gone through this experience. I graduated in april of 2010 and could be waiting for how long when... any suggested.

Follow the yellow brick road?
Hello everyone, i could sure use some opinion or feedback, ive been struggling with trying to get into nursing school, ive try private and communities schools but because of my science bio class getting a c+ (twice) things dont look good for me, all schools in NY makes promises but only an A or B+ will get you in a nursing school because of the high volume of competitions. im a full time working mom and i go to school parttime, and i find it unfair for us working folks. ive notice that people with no jobs and no responsiblities are the ones to get in the programs. so i ask where do we fit in. my question is, did anyone try going through an LPN program then RN, ive decided to take that route, can anyone help me with their truthfull and honest opinion. ive looked into one in Jersey, so im preparing for entrance exam in the LPN. which me luck!! PS. i have to earn a living, i got two kids and one in college so i need to work full time, this school in Jersey is at night from 6-10PM.

Anybody from Laguardia college..
Hi gigi, i applied to Laguardia college and i received a letter for acceptance for the preclinical nursing program, u need to have all a's for the pre-r classes, if not it is highly recommended to take your science classes over. no placement exams after having 45 credits. but i will say, the parking is a horror. good luck and let me know what u decide. thanks.

Discouraged and need opinion
Hi, i also empathize with you, im from New York, 39 and is also having a hard time getting in a program, my grades run from c+ and up and of course everybody keeps telling me that can be a big deal as well, i got turn down from several schools myself, but what u have to do is find a loop somewhere, do research, find a steppin stone.. listen, my point, i also have a compassiate to become a nurse and i will do as much as it takes to get there, dont give up!!! when theres a will, theres a way!! I wish you luck, Rosie.
