  1. A tiny dab of vicks vapor rub will do wonders for the array of "smells" you may encounter, put a little bit in a contact lens case and carry it in your pocket!! Good Luck!!
  2. If you go the the AHA website and in the top right hand corner click on "local branch", you can find contact info for your local office and they should be able to tell you where and when the second part of the class is offered. Also, many community colleges have it available and check with your local fire dept, because often the firefighters are trained to teach it and could possibly help you out. Hope this helps!!
  3. Letting them know you are flexible is a big plus!! Along with being compassionate and showing that you have a willingness to learn something new. It is also helpful to relay what goals you have and show that you are a team player. And the above all else, patient safety and privacy comes first.
  4. I would say that looks like a pretty good sign!! Good Luck!!
  5. The best way to know if your credits will transfer would be to contact the college you are thinking of attending for grad school and verify with them. Good luck with your schooling.
  6. It is accepted by AL. For GA, you have to complete an additional 700 hours of clinicals. it is best to check with the Ga Board of Nursing though, they are constantly changing. Are you an LPN? I believe you also have to be an LPN for the Excelsior program.
  7. Thanks for the voice of confidence!!
  8. Thanks...I guess I was looking at the old website.
  9. I noticed that!! The info was pretty sparce!! Thank you for your help!!
  10. I know EXACTLY how you feel. I am going through the same thing only difference is that I am an LPN. I am going to get my CNA it will cost $107 for the test and then work my way up from there(I still need to take a refresher course). If you are licensed as an LPN/RN from another state you can get on the registry for GA CNA, you just have to take the written test and the skills test. ALSO, I know for LPN if you apply for GA license within 1 yr from original license you can still be licensed and don't need the 500 hr requirement. It may be the same for RN. I would apply for GA license and they will tell you exactly what you will need to do.
  11. Do you have more info about their nursing program? I couldn't find anything online about it. Thanks!! Good Luck to you in your class!!
  12. thank you...that is a great help!!
  13. Thank you for that I will check them out!!
  14. CONGRATULATIONS!! that is so awesome!! good things come to those who wait!!
  15. http://www.amazon.ca/Rules-Aging-Roger-Rosenblatt/dp/0156013606 This book isn't really about the body but it is pretty comical and has some ideas on aging. A very light and easy read.
