  1. Im sorry but to me...monroe college is just one of those private, no name, 'tech' feel kind of schools that charge an arm and a leg for a nursing (lpn, not even an adn..jeesh) degree. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.
  2. I'd say my lpn schooling was a mix of good and bad. a mix of good and just ok instructors and a very expensive program at that. As bad as it was, we started out at 16 students and only 5 graduated (2 of which were returning students who didn't make it from last year's batch) which means technically only 3 of us in the original class, graduated. I'm doing my RN schooling now and I'l be done next year.
  3. I already know about a new grad fellowship being offered at SNCH but I would definitely wanna hear from first hand experience if they DO actually accept ADN RNs into the program. Thanks!
  4. youre kidding right? nothing SHOULD EVER stop you from reaching your full potential, shoot for the stars! go n get your bsn...and if youre not content after that then shoot for your msn. Sky's the limit !
  5. 120k?!!! dang now i dont feel so bad. do you mind telling how much your monthly bill is for the loan? did you take out alternative (private lender) loans too?
  6. That is so true!
  7. Where is this? this is sad..I'm currently working as an lpn (while also in rn school) and I help my cna's when I can...If I can do it myself, then I just do it since the time that it'll take you to look for the aide - u could be using to do the task. Plus your aides will love you and they'll help you when you truly need help...4reals.
  8. Uhmmm...I would move out of there. like stat.
  9. Adelphi's reputation is not really that great. It's like one of those "career" colleges that have commercials that show in the daytime along with talk shows and stuff. I would go with Pace, its a real school.
  10. Get the book and study for the test, MAKE SURE YOU DO WELL since they will call the ones who scored well first for an interview. I got a 94 and was one of the first batch of people called for an interview. I am currently a student in their 3 year track. GOODLUCK.
  11. I've been seeing a lot of comments about how there's NOT really a shortage of nurses in Cali(?) I am an lpn working in new york state and thinkin about moving to Los Angeles once I get my RN license (which I am goin to school for). But now that Im reading that it's hard for one to get a job there, Im now considering of scrapping my cali dream. Any thoughts? comments? Specific posts wil be helpful... I am graduating in about a year and a half with an adn, hoping that my lpn experience would count there in cali.
  12. 13 an hour for an lpn? are yuou kidding? that aint sh_t!
  13. im an lpn student based in VA about to grad this april and would like to know if phillips beth israel is hard to get into. be great to hear other helpful info as well..
  14. greetings!, Does anyone here have any info whatsoever about Radians College?, its in NW on vermont ave, I've been lookin into their website but not enough to convince me, Although it does say that their directors "voted" to have an RN program back in 2004. I would love to hear from RN's or current RN students who actually went/go there. I believe it's better to hear from people who actually know the school and what they can offer. I am currently in lpn school and about to grad this april. thanks.
