I work for a cardiologist, who also has other doctors work for him, he has 5 offices total. I work in an office of internal medicine. When I began working for this doctor I had just graduated and had taken NCLEX, yet.... So I took a receptionist job, with the administator/doctors wife knew I was going to be a LPN. When I passed NCLEX I was moved to a new office, that they bought, because they needed a person who could do nursing and knew how the front office and back office worked for their company. Well, long story short.... Receptionist pay was $9.00. In the last 6 months besides being the nurse for 2 practioners and now also the office manager, I got a raise in April, ( after asking for it) Guess what it was..... A big $.50 on the hour..... Mind you now the doctors wife is always saying how broke they are but just 2 weeks ago bought a 250,000.00 sports car. When I asked for my raise I was expecting 1yr nursing pay which in my area should have been around 12.00 plus 1/2 for what the old office manager was being paid, which was 10.00. So, I should be making 17.00 per hour. I don't even make what the old office manager did. Now my problem......... I love, love my job. I help people and they respect me and I work with 4 of the best girls ever. We are like family.. We never argue, fuss or "cat fight". What should I do? I don't want to leave, but I know I being taken advantage of. Please Help.d

Yes send in a separate letter attached to your application. When they do the BCI check it will come out, and it is best to have an explaination about it and that you are remorseful about it.

Well, I got approved to test on Oct. 15. Tested and passed with 85 questions on Nov. 10. Now I have to wait until the board meets in Jan. for my license to be issued (if they are going to issue it) Why would they let me test and make me wait again?

I took NCLEX PN today. I only had 85 questions. I have prayed alot over this last year. In my heart I feel I did pass, but my head is telling me not to get my hopes up. (This is how I feel about most things.) My board of nursing is closed on Monday because of Vets day, so I wont know until most likely Wed.

Because of something that happened 15 years ago, my application to take NCLEX is going before the board. Which the board meets on the 27th and 28th of Sept. How long will it be before if I will be able to test or not? I was hoping to know before the end of Oct. I graduated in Aug. and I'm begining to forget things.

I am graduating in 3 weeks. My NCLEX-PN app is being sent in this week. Problem: I have a canviction for forgery and theft (it really was a bad check) in Union county, 15 years ago. My instructor says I will be able to take NCLEX, but where am I going to work. I can't work in a NH, that seems to be the only jobs around where I live. I've been feeling like I have wasted my time over this last year. I'm planning in getting it expunged. I'm waiting on paperwork from my lawyer. It has taken since Feb. to get the paperwork filled out.

I will be graduating on Aug 3 from practical nursing program. I probably won't be taking NCLEX until atleast the end of Aug. or begining of Sept., when should I apply for a job? Should I wait until I take NCLEX?

I am not in this for the money.... I truly believe this is my calling in life. I have a lot of students in my class that are in it for the money. At clinicals, they go do what needs to be done and don't hardly inneract with the patient at all. I am one of the older ones in my class at 38.

I am making a procedure book for Lab. Could anyone tell me a good website for step by step instructions on how to procedures?

Ours is 80% in each class. If you are below 80% in any class you are out. They do round up. We are starting our 2nd qtr tomorrow, so we will see who we have lost. So far before the qtr ended we lost 4 out of 46
