  1. My status went from admit back to committee ready, so it appears that the only sure fire way of knowing is if you get a letter or phone call.
  2. My status actually changed a couple weeks ago to admit-institution, but then went back to the ready for review status. I suppose it could be worse, but it is still concerning.
  3. An expungement may not help with the BON, but it will be beneficial in the attempt to find employment since it will not be on your record.
  4. I took the RN exam yesterday and got the last question correct and I passed, at least the pvt says as much. I went over 75 questions though, I do not think that getting the last one correct would mean as much in your situation because 85 is the minimum. Try the pvt trick that is stickied at the top of the nclex page. Apparently it is accurate.
  5. I currently go to UMD at Baltimore. I would say that my education there has been pretty good, but I have not gone to any other nursing school. I graduate in about a month from now. Would I change anything about the school? I would try and do away with a lot of these little assignments that ask of us. Asides from that, I do not have any complaints. You would have plenty of clinical placements to choose from and the professors will do what they can to give you the experiences you seek. I would imagine that rent would be a lot cheaper around the Bmore campus than Shady Grove.
  6. I remember when I was talking with a recruitment person that she said not to give one of those types of stories.
  7. I would pick Charles Village. The area is relatively safe and you have a nice little grocery store, movie rentals and several pubs/restaurants to pick from. I would pick an apartment that is not on the first floor for safety, but the neighborhood is relatively safe compared to most areas of Baltimore. You will find a nice mix of people. A lot of college kids though because Hopkins is there. Union Memorial is right there as well you could just walk to work.
  8. What is in the nursing packet. Also, when are we able to register for classes?
  9. Is there any subjects we should study ahead of time to give us a good start? I have heard that pharmacology is the difficult one during the first semester.
  10. I think the best place to live in is Charles Village. Not as chaotic as down by the harbor. They also provide a shuttle service from the Hopkins campus there down to the hospital.
  11. eri has a practice test you could take for about 10 bucs I think. I would advise you to purchase the review book. The math is pretty basic, I only got the .01 X .01 one wrong. I had a mental lapse for some reason. The reading comprehension was the tougher portion, I finished just at the bell.
  12. I am not sure how they do it. I would be surprised if they sent all the acceptance letters on the same day.
  13. I got the letter from UMB yesterday.
  14. " When is your essay due? I've worked as a TA and am itching to red pen this thing." Please do Carolina. I have a little time until I need to submit the applications. thanks
  15. thanks for the reply. I though about what you said but can't really agree. They want to know what led me to being interested in nursing. I felt I had to tell them why. I am not sure what you meant about conviction.
