What have other nurses done that have freaked you out?
Unfortunatly this is a sad but typical scenerio in all fields of nursing, they are dealing with shortages so they allow these nurses to continue. Because most likely charted correctly, you know the saying if it isn't charted it wasn't done, well the same goes if it was charted with some it was never done, but the paper work says it was. Thanks to frivolous law suits!! Bad nurses have no worrry, their jobs are safe, until they are arrested for negligent hommicide or forging presciptions. Sad but true.

Thinking about getting into corrections....
- Thinking about getting into corrections....
The biggest suggestion I can give to any nurse wanting to go into corrections is to read a book called Games criminals play, never vary from the suggestions given in this book, Have plenty of OJT, have good diagnostics skills, believe me there really are critically ill pts in jail, as well as good cons, learn to differentiate Have worked in corrections for 12 years, I have never been harmed, give respect and you will receive respect. Always remember where you work. And treat the officers with respect as well, we are considered necessary evils, no one likes healing a child molester or murderer or rapist, but remember we are nurses not the judge jury or executioner. Good Luck, Big Big Plus is the pay.- Experienced nurses, please help!
Vicks Vapor rub is the best for all foul smelling odors, plus with time you will get used to it, trust me. - Thinking about getting into corrections....
