  1. To Ephiphany That Happens Too Many Times For Me To Recall...........making Errors And Having Them Covered Up By An Another Nurse .....
  2. HMMM WHY DID I BECOME A NURSE???? When I was a little girl, I got severly burnt by gasoline. There was a lady by the name of Edna who had to put me in the showers to bathe me and remove the dead skin from my body... Ill never forget the screaming I did when that happened......nor will I forget the compassion this woman had for me. When I did start working on the same floor she did as a RN, I told her how I admired her compassion and tenderness with me and why I chose this profession of kind and caring individuals.....well majority are lol Cathy
  3. o no thats not good. I was advised one day to call pharmacy and have the narcs delivered to the facility. Never borrow. It sets u up for mistakes later.
  4. o sleeping during break time. When I was a new grad, it seemed the staff I worked with seem to love to sleep during the hours of 1-4 a.m. leaving me with over 14 patients to take care of. believe me I started speaking up but still it didnt matter even when management was told that breaks were extremely long on night shifts. It did not matter. If anything, made matters worse with the charge nurse, who decided to be a vengeful ewnch and make my life miserable.
  5. HMM like most of you all I worked in a 20 bed unit m/s in Maine-small town hospital where the OB nurse floated to m/s where she transcribed orders if any admits, fingersticks, lab draws, resp treatments, as well as take patients that do not have infection. The only problem I encountered was with a Canadian RN who neglected to tell me she was leaving the floor and reassigned her patients to me . TALK ABOUT GETTING PEEVED!!!!!
