so burned out
I've been experiencing severe burnout too. I got right out of nursing school and went into psych. I love the people I work with (both patients and employees) but I have become so burned out that I cannot even look at a syringe without getting depressed. Thought about changing nursing fields but every nursing field I can think of doesn't sound the least bit appetizing at the moment. I'm also in school to further my nursing degree but having a hard time even doing that so even though I really really hate to, I am looking at other careers and meeting with a career councilor to figure out if I should be in nursing or if I should be in something else. I have people tell me all the time what a wonderful nurse I am, but it takes everything I can to go to work each day. I'm one of those people that hates rushed environments (which makes me wonder why I went into nursing); I just want the time to sit and properly assess and talk with my patient without pressure... I took a myers-briggs test as part of trying to figure things out and figured out my personality type is INFP. Anyway, I just had to vent. Hope you find what makes you happy and enjoy work again! =)

Indiana State University BSN students
Hello, I'm new to this thread and have been looking through the posts and couldn't find this information (so sorry if it has been posted), but what is ISU's program like as per the workload? Those of you in the program, have you been able to work? I ask because I am currently doing an LPN->ADRN program and the homework load has been so heavy that most of the students have had to stop working to be able to keep up on the quizzes/assignments/papers plus the fact that it is going to take me 2 years to get my RN I was thinking I might look at a BSN program. I am curious how the ISU program compares. Thank you! =)

Mormon Undergarment
They can be removed prn (eg. showers) but once done have another set ready for putting back on. Then follow normal laundry procedures for this patients personal articles - his family might want to do the laundry. Try not to put them on the floor or let them touch the floor if at all possible. They can be set on the bed or a chair as long as they aren't left out all day. Just try to treat them with respect is the main thing. They stand as the persons personal commitment of following the commandments as listed in the bible.

Largest baby
I personally was 11 lb 7 oz. My mom's first was 12 lb 7 oz and posterior. Her second was 10 lb 9 oz, and her last was 11 lb 2 oz. The doctor started her about two weeks early on all of us but my mom's first (decided after that one that as soon as the baby was ready it was time because he didn't want us too large). All were SVD.

Hey, CNAs.......got a question for all of you!
While we weren't required to own one. We were required to take a bp and be within 6 points (total) of what the tester got. So if we took the bp and got 118/75 and the tester got 120/70 (using a learning steth) then we would have to pay to retake the manual skills test.
