Got In But Not Qualify For Fin Aid..help!
I hope your retalitation was not directed at me. I was the one posting a potential solution to your problem. Trust me, I am all too familiar with taking out loans. As a matter of fact, I am in the same boat as you. I just got my acceptance notification and have to figure out how to live and go to school at the same time. I know there are living loans available too but please see "my" previous posting. The one you were angry about was not from me.

how does everyone pay for school???
you can check with your local Department of Economic Security or Social Service office whatever it goes by in your state. Some of them have assistance for those who are advancing their careers and income. They don't promise to pay all of what you need but they do assist with supplies, books, testing fees etc... You get some certificate that you take to the place and they reimburse you. It's worth a shot. The catch is, upon graduation you have to be making more money than you are now. That's about it.

Got In But Not Qualify For Fin Aid..help!
I do not know if it would work for your particular circumstance but it's worth a shot. I too was denied for any further financial aid, depending on where I went to school. Since I was changing career paths to nursing, I was able to get a revision/reevaluation completed by my school to reflect that my previous credits had nothing to do with my current plan. That took about 3 minutes and now I qualify but for a limited amount of dollars. Check with the advisor for the program of interest. There is usually a brief form to fill out and that's it.

$25,000 for LPN program! Help!
Don't give them your money. For one are you planning on continuing on? Most colleges will not accept the credits or licensure earned at a technical school. I would double check that with a non-biased school. I am currently at a community college and will be paying $1,000/semester. I have to option of stopping midway if I want my LPN. The point is, there is NO WAY it should cost that much. The transfer factor is even a bigger concern.

nurses with disabilities
I know you are a nurse and are bombarded with people telling you homeopathy is ridiculous and a hoax or whatever, but ever since my brother was diagnosed with MS I have been doing a lot of research on the illness and treatments. I am particularly interested in bee venom therapy. If you are not allergic to bees this may help your symptoms. The worst part is getting over the pain of the sting (from what I have read). There is an amazing website called gilbertbees.com. This is one man's journal of using bee venom. He includes many other testimonials of how it has worked. As you know, it is something that would require ongoing treatment. I can assure you though that the cost is a fraction of the $16,000-$19,000 your current treatments cost. There are even some apitherapists that will sting for free. Once you learn the tricks of the trade you can order bees on line and do the treatment at home. It's amazing. One woman couldn't walk, started the bee venom and got herself up and walking again. It will improve your quality of life overall.

Anyone in Maricopa
The town of or the county of Maricopa? The town is at the far end of the earth not close to anything. At least a 20 minute drive to the nearest freeway (I-10). Then about a 5-10 minute drive until you encounter rush hour traffic in the morning. Interested in Maricopa county, I would recommend Ahwatukee (not really a town of it's own, rather a suburb of the city of PHX), the actual address is Phoenix. I used to live there and love it. Avoid the West valley, ie: I-17 & Cactus, thunderbird, etc... that's where most of the crime occurs. I guess it depends on where you would be working. If you work in the East Valley, definitely Ahwatukee, CHandler or Gilbert. If in the West Valley, North Scottsdale, Desert Hills(Phoenix), Goodyear or Avondale. Hope this helps.

Professional Research Resources
I too am writing a research paper and according to my professor and the campus librarian, there is not much credibility in web related research. Sure NEJM and the like are great but the internet site must be cited differently than the print version and they do have ways of knowing what's what. Basically what I am saying is if you want to be taken seriously, you really need to dig. That's what brought me here. I am looking for participants in interviews. Just thought you'd like the info for the best possible grade.
