Delivering lab specimens...what do you think?
Don't most places hire someone to do all that? It shouldn't be your responsibility- especially off the clock.

Thank you's - memorable ones you've received?
I have recieved little gifts from people, but someone saying thank you for making their/or spouses hospital stay better just makes the job worth doing!

nurses with disabilities
I posted this under the South Carolina forum without a lot of response... and I thought maybe someone here could help me out! Thanks! Hi everyone, I am 25 years old and was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis about a year ago. For about 4 months I have been looking for a new job with no luck. Here is my dilema... I need a desk job. The MS makes my feet and legs numb all the time... and painful when I walk more than 15-20 minutes. The other problem is that I only worked on the floor as a nurse for a year and a half. Therefore, I haven't found a job that I qualify for at all! Everything requires 5 years experience, or other experience I just don't have. The medication I take is very expensive so insurance is a major factor, too. Any ideas? I live in Spartanburg, SC and can't travel far for work. Thanks for your help!

"But I'm pregnant . . ."
Some things pregnant women do need some help with... but the woman you are referring too is taking advantage of the situation. Have you talked with your manager about it? It's not far for you to pull all her slack... and work all holidays and weekends because shes pregnant. Thats just not fair to you.

Any former/current pharmacy techs around?
I worked 4 years as a pharm tech at a drug store through nursing school. It was definetly a big help. When we went to clinicals, I was usually the only person who knew anything about the meds. The pharmacist I worked for helped me with drug calculations, and a lot of it you use there. Hope things work out for you!
