  1. Did your cousins apply for the vn or rn program at ivc?
  2. One thing good about National is that u can domicro without the chemistry prereq =) .. so basically u knock out two classes within a month for 1k, rather two classes within two semesters.. and this option is good if your chemistry credit passed the expiration date and u dont want to take over again.
  3. thanks for your help. i do see a difference now....
  4. wow thats it? how do you get admitted besides the teas entrance test? gpa? credits? no waiting list?sorry for all questions, but im trying to figure out the difference between ghoc and a high priced vn program at a trade school.. it seems they are both the same, except for the price..
  5. wow thanks for the quick response how long is the course?
  6. yes, please. Can you give me more info on the santee ghoc program. What are the admission requirements? i too applied at national. My kinda iffy about my admissions rep. wasnt really helpful always had to remind her when/if my transcripts came in.. as well as constant follow-ups.
  7. hmm.. are you talking about el centro, texas.. or at imperial valley in san diego?
  8. how come oct08 when the next lvn class starts early 08???
  9. hi brandy, i was wondering if they pick potential students by the passing grade score?? higher the better??
  10. wow brandy.. Great rundown.. I did the first test and waiting to do the net test. They also tried to sell me the ma program, but I stood my ground.
  11. so you did the lvn-rn approach? what community colleges are you considering?
  12. hi woogy.. how is your schedule during your nursing course in nevada? anytime for a fulltime job or are their day/evening course options in comm. nevada?? just wondering. Thinking about moving to nevada and apply for a nursing program. Thanks
  13. There is no difference between adn asn.... if you do a rn-bsn route.. isn't the most important requirement being an RN or do the credits???
  14. you can take a cna program anywhere.. and wouldnt have to spend so much.
  15. yup, i know a few people who graduated from Maric and they do land some good jobs after they graduate..
  16. Yea, I agree with you. I hate waiting and these wait lists are ridiculous. I did visit an advisor back june, at the spectrum campus, and thought i could finish a couple of classes before jan 07... but now i hear all seats are taken for jan and apr of 07! I also remember my advisor saying that its all about the personal statement. If its top notch, you're a sure in. Thanks and Good Luck!!
  17. Hi.. sorry i dont have an answer to your question, but noticed you're going through the process and was wonderin... I heard National is accepting apps for July 07.. Is that true? And what made you decide in joining National?
  18. Look into National University, half the price for a bsn, transferrable credits,
  19. National University in SD doesn't do adn program anymore, only BSN for roughly 35-45k (i guess it depends on prereqs and other electives). I guess the adn didnt really didnt catch on. first class graduated with only 6 people!
  20. Don't give up or get discouraged so easily... focus. If you really want it, then get it no matter what. a few quotes i live by: ...................."There is no failure, only feedback".................... .."You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there"..
  21. Thanks for the response Jim. A Friend of mine actually graduated adn at national... 1st class to graduate at National was only 6 people, including him. Makes me think why they took out the program and only runnin' the bsn program. my aunt who's a head nurse at scripps says that they always get fresh students from both Maric college and National University and noticed something very interesting about both, she said: Nurses coming from National seem to be more mature, but less knowledgeable whilst Maric grads are a little less mature, but more knowledgeable. Not badmouthing Maric students in any way, since I know for a fact that maric grads really know there stuff and probably the majority are young students. (I too did my 2 year stint at Maric for IT know what its like) I just thought that was really interesting and wondered what you or anybody's thoughts..
  22. Hello, I've done my study on Maric and would like to know any opinions on the BSN program at National. The recruiter at National told me there were no longer running the adn program and just offering the BSN program. So im currently looking into enrolling, but once again am ended up with the old question, which is better a BSN OR ADN degree.. Would like to hear anybody's experience in the program at NAtional positive/negative or would i be better off at a comm. college w/ no waiting list. Thanks!
