  1. As a rehire ....
  2. What is an incentive bonus? Is that to stay there a certain number of years? I wish my VA would give that!
  3. Oh wow. OK thanks. glad I'm not the only one going through this.
  4. did you get boarded at the same grade and step as when you left?
  5. What is the appeal process if I don't agree with what the NPSB chose for me in terms of grade and step. If I appeal it , then does it go back to them? or to someone else?
  6. What do you mean? Where do you call?
  7. was the onboarding process quicker when coming back to government job?
  8. After almost two years I’m officially burned out on triage nursing even though I work from home. I dread the constant incoming calls and I think one of the main reasons for burn out is that they have scheduled me to so many weekends due to staffing needs and availability or so they say…..
  9. Thank you! I’m not giving up and I understand if you don’t want to share. My current job is not bad and pays well and has a pension( I work for the govt). I’m mainly looking anywhere else that has a wfh job that has weekends and holidays off. I’m willing to take a big pay cut to have a stable schedule plus triage is burning me out. I’m an introvert and all the talking is just draining me out at the end of the day.
  10. My email address is [email protected] if your company is hiring. I applied to a financial company that had an opening for an RN for stop loss consultant.
  11. Do you still like the insurance underwriting job? Anything stressful about it?
  12. I make six figures doing telephone triage at home but am willing to take a pay cut for peace of mind
  13. My first job was in med surg and I was struggling. I felt I wasn't ready to be on my own and I asked them for one more month. They said no and not to worry but I was terrified that I would mess up bigtime and it would affect my license. I gave notice before my shift that I was quitting and the nurse on the phone said she would report me for abandonment. I was a new nurse but I knew my state practice act and said I'm not even at the hospital to accept the patient so that doesn't count. I told her to read up on the practice act and hung up on her. In hindsight, it was not the right thing to do and I'm sure I messed up their schedule but looking back I knew I was not capable of med surg and never did it since. That was almost 15 years ago. Sometimes you need to quit without notice especially if its an at will state.
  14. I work from home as a triage nurse and am getting burned out with the amount of calls I get. I was thinking case management would be better from home because even 30 minutes with a patient is a luxury to me. I spend a few minutes with a patient and then document and repeat. I'm a fast typer and I work pretty quickly but that is leading to burn out. I'm applying to jobs with less pay for UM or CDI remote positions but no luck.
