  1. by toni bologna: Can anyone tell me the cost of nursing anesthesia at Columbia? Its not reallly clear from their website. I multiplied the # of credits * the hourly rate and got $37000. It was mentioned in a previous thread this is an expensive University, but my numbers don't show that. Drexel, Penn, etc in Philly are $65-$90K for the program. Second, what is the starting salary for CRNA's in New York City? Is it higher than other states due to the cost of living, or is the fact it is a high salary already compensate for the cost of living? In other words, why work in New York City as a CRNA making $100K a year to start when you can make the same salary in a lower cost city? Last, how many students do they admit per year? I read that they recruit internally for candidates and then only a few spaces to outside nurses and thus is very competitive. Thanks for your feedback.
  2. What does it mean? you need to pass CGFNS and NCLEX in NY first b4 u can work there? im confused, they said there's no need to take CG exam in NY?
  3. How true IS it that the salary of a nurse anaesthetist is $500 per hour? How much you're going to spend to become a CRNA? thank you...

  5. Hi Suzanne. Just wanna ask something hope you can help me with this? Can u help me decide? which is the best thing to do? which is the fastest? I wanna work in the States asap, is it possible? a.get New Mexico as my initial licensure then later endorse to CAli or NY? (they say it's the easiest and fastest way to get ATT) b.directly apply to Cali? ( im scared to get stuck for the long waiting, they say it would took 6mos-1yr before you can get your ATT) c. Directly apply to NY? (the CVS needs licensure verification..Is it really needed?because in CVS application form it has 2 copies of licensure verification form there...and im not yet licensed. plus they say it would took 4-6mos for CVS before I can apply for NY-NcLEX..) please help me.... if I should choose NewMexico as my initial licensure, is it possible to work there while waiting for the processing of endorsement? Do u know the starting pay in NewMexico? please... i Badly need your advice... Thank you so much. God bless!
