I do that too, but a while back (last year) I recall being informed by our pharmacy that we were to "manually" draw up our own syringes to dilute. A few weeks ago I followed up with the pharm. and they said it was ok to use the prefilled syr's... whatever is faster and more efficient works for me.

Typically 6-7 during the noc....very seldom do we get 8. 2 Aides max for the unit. It's a 30 bed medical unit. We had to with 8 the other night, and could just barely keep up. During the day, usually 6 pts. max with and Aide and 4 pts max going solo.

I used to work recently @ the First Hill campus as both a NT and RN. I loved the autonomy as a tech; I guess it's how you approach it. The contract negotiation is pretty much settled now, from what I hear. But some of my former coworkers still tell me of a lack of managerial support.

Hi...first off I was raised here in the Seattle area and lived here most of my life. The Tri-City area, or "Tri-Cities" as they are known as, is located clear across the eastern part of the state. We're talking about 200+ miles/3+ hour drive. So, if you had any thought of living in the Tri-Cities and working in Seattle...well, I think a change of plans would be within your best interest. The most expensive areas of the city to live in are downtown (as with any other large city) and what is known as the "eastside." The Eastside consists of Bellevue, Kirkland, Woodinville, Mercer Island... too many to name. You might want to look south of the city...Renton, Kent or Maple Valley. A coworker of mine just bought a home in that region and got considerably more that what you would get if buying elsewhere. Climate-wise, the Seattle area has a marine climate. It never gets oppressively humid. It also never gets too hot, well maybe for a few days in the summer. During the winter, it's wet... it's seldom is too cold to snow. Hope this helps...JJ
