  1. Hi! I graduated in May 06 with an associates degree and I just got a job in postpartum at Metro. It was difficult to get in (do to HR) but it is do-able!! Becky
  2. Hello everyone, My name is Becky, I graduated this past May and took my boards last week and passed with 75 questions. I start orientation on August 7th and will be working prn after orientation on the postpartum unit which I am very excited about. It is the whole reason I got into nursing!! :monkeydance: I was very happy to hear that I got this job because it is EXTREMELY difficult to get a position in OB without any experience and being a new grad!! Becky RN
  3. 1. 75 Seemed like the questions got hard pretty quickly. Priority questions and drug questions. It took about 1-1.5 hrs 2. I used Zerwekh and Claborn and also a Saunders book. I just borrowed them from the library, did not go out and spend any money on them. They were also from 2000. So yeah they were older but basic nursing concepts that I wanted to refresh has stayed the same. 3. My school used ATI I scored as 98% to pass the test at the time I took it. We had a three day review at the end of May that we paid extra for. 4. It took 48hrs to get the results on Pearson Vue which I paid for cause I couldn't wait any longer. I took the test on Friday and my state said results thru ohio bon was posted in 24hrs so I was really upset they weren't there on Sat. Actually my results were not posted to Monday evening. How did people wait for a month for results in the "olden days" is a mystery to me. They would have to put me in a medically induced coma. So if you take the test on Friday or around a holiday prepare for a wait from your bon if you don't live in a quick result state. 5. While I was taking the test I had a feeling it was going to cut off at 75. The questions seemed to be harder and harder. I was relieved it was done. I was glad that I used to earplugs they gave me. 6. My first attempt I passed!! My advice is the day before the test is to relax, try not to cram your head with last min. knowlege. Eat a good dinner and get a good night's sleep. It is a good idea to find out where exactly your testing spot is. I was lucky and left early to the testing site because I had a hard time finding it. You can not bring anything into the testing room with you but they provide with a locker so you can bring snacks if you need it. Take your time and don't feel rushed.
  4. I passed!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl: :roll
  5. It has been 24hrs since I took my test and OH BON still says pending!? :angryfire [EVIL[/EVIL]When I went on Pearson it said my results were not available yet!! Will the BON post on the weekends?? I am going nutso!! Second guessing myself, exhibiting the classic signs of post nclex psychosis!! ahhhhhhhhhhhh!! Becky
  6. congrats happy grad!! Keep them fingers crossed for me!! Becky
  7. I took the test this morning, I also only had 75 questions and it shut off. I had tons of priority questions and it didn't seem like I had many easy ones. I hope to God I passed. I have been studying pretty regularly for the past month. Our college did ATI testing at the end of the school year and it said I had a 98% chance of passing so I hope I did. It also had drug questions which isn't my strong suit either. The director of our school said that we could go on the internet to the Ohio board of nursing and look at the liscense verification and when it doesn't say pending anymore it means you passed. But I don't know how long it takes. Waiting and patience is not a virtue I possess!! Becky
