Curious, whats your job while in school?
I work 40 hours/week as a flight operations for an airline and I'm also a wife and a mom of 2 kids. I don't do well in A&PI though.

Hello everyone, I've been reading this forum for a while but have never posted anything. Now I need to share my frustration about being in school. I am originally from Thailand and I've been living in the U.S. for two years. I currently work on pre-reqs for BS program. I've never studied science before and I am not a traditional student. I am 25,married and have a 6 years old boy. I dropped biology lab and psychology class right away at the first week of semester. I thought that I would keep my biology lecture and other English classes and math in my schedule. 12 credits plus part-time job and family is too overwhelming to me. I am 5 chapters behind in biology class and faithfully,I don't understand the coursebook at all. I tried to find tutor but it cost me $20 hourly which I can't afford. I asked my classmates if anyone want to do study group but, noone want to do it with me because my thick English accent)-: I've been crying everyday about this stress. I feel like I am a stupid person ever exits in class. Midterm test is due next week and my brain is blank. I know that to sit and sorry for myself does not help anything....but,is there anyone who speak English as a second language can give me some advise? I do not want to give up my dream.... ::Minty::

Did not pass the NET
Hi, I don't know the answer but I just wanted to cheer you up! I hope you will past the test. I don't take the test yet. My advisor told me to finish pre-reqs classes first. Anyhow, good luck for you

A few questions..
Hi michelle, I think you should contact UAA and find out. In my opinion I don't think your past background would effect your chance of getting into nursing school. I went to nursing school orientation and they didn't mention about that. But you would have to take NET and pre-reqs. You must have high GPA and must wait for the result of ranking procedure. The ranking procedure is based on GPA and NET score. I strongly suggest you to contact UAA school of nursing to get more info. I don't speak English very well but I hope this may help you a little bit. M-I-N-T
