You are welcome.Check these schools;www.fatima.edu.ph www.stignatiuscollege.com check the schools for second courser by gemimi_star. It's up to you to check the credibility of the school.- Commission on Higher Education
Hello! you have given me a good idea.On Monday I'm gonna call the nursing commission of the state where I live, maybe they have a list of accredited nursing schools from the Philippines, cause this is one of my problems.Like you, I'm going home too.But I wanna make sure that I'm in a safe school(accredited), it does'nt have to be the best (cause they don't accept second courser anyway) About dual citizenship, some schools are legitimate but they cannot be used for applying a student visa. Its a good idea to apply for dual citizenship if you are Filipino. It saves you money in the long run. Check gemini_ star's posting for nursing school for second courser.Good luck...- Commission on Higher Education

Hi! Don't give up.do what you have to do.In the Philippines it is whom you know.Look for people who are well connected so you can get in.The sad part, is when those people from the Philippines come over here and become charge nurses, supervisor, or manager... they will expect the people below them to kiss their ass,and expect to be envited in every party you are having or they will take it as insult.I work in the Hospital where its 60% Filipinos.(more or less).:angryfire Personally. I do not like working with a bunch of pinoys. They are nice in front of you then talk behind your back, write you up for whatever they can think and because they kiss the ass of the almighty "BOSS" the stupid boss will beleive and side with them. Philippine style of work ethics is a good training ground for the future asshole at the Hospital , LTC facilities,or in any work place. You see, I have no Philippine work experince because right after I finished college there.,I move here in the US.So Goodluck...- Thread for Filipino Nursing Students
Hi! I would like to know the name of your school. Also , please include the phone number.Thank you.- Schools for 2nd coursers - BS Nursing
Dear Goldenrule, Its hard in the Philippines,But if you know somebody in the hospital it will be easier,Let's face it, in the Philippines, age discrimanation is okey it happened all the time and nobody has even tried to change it.Not even our famous politician!!!If I were you,I will not waste my time in the Philippines.Come to the US.Apply for a tourist visa but don't tell them that you are a nurse because it will give the idea that you are not coming back.Apply from Japan.Because in the Philippines the US embassy people treat us like mosquitoes, no value.Or you can go to the web site of the state where you plan to go and search for a nurse refresher class.Talk to them. Most of them are nice, they want your business.Good luck..Sorry for the delayed response.- Schools for 2nd coursers - BS Nursing
I called MMFC yesterday and I found out that they have a 20 months program if you go to school everyday, and 24 months if you will do the weekend class. The program will start on October. If you are brave enough to study in Davao. Consider the bomb threat daily. Remember what happened 3 or 2 years ago at their airport. Bombs were also found at the Bus station in Ecolan. Is this worth it?I'm also looking for school that accepts second courser.I'm from Butuan city 4hrs bus trip to Davao but I'm chicken to go there every weekend. What if????I prefer to study in Cebu. This is just my opinion. You decide for your self.Keep me posted where you end up.Good luck!!!- Felipe Verallo Memorial Foundation College
Dear Pooh Bear, Thanks for the info. Are you from Cebu? How do you check if it is approved by CHED?What about WNC?Do you go to school everyday?I'm considering WNC.Please give some info about WNC nursing program for second courser.I finished BS Biology.Thank you..- West Negros College
Thanks for the info.I need a school that caters to second courser. I have only maximum of 2 years to stay in the Philippines.I have spoken with Riverside College and they don't have a fast program.- is PN in US and here in the philippines just the same?
Hi!There.. What school are you in and how much is the tuition?- Felipe Verallo Memorial Foundation College
Hello!!!Amigos, amigas... Is there anybody who knows or heard anout this school in Bogo, Cebu, called FELIPE VERALLO MEMORIAL FOUNDATION COLLEGE ?- Felipe Verallo Memorial Foundation College
Is there anybody who knows about this school?Help!!!:uhoh3:I heard they accept second courser. Is it located in Bogo, Cebu.- Schools for 2nd coursers - BS Nursing
Where do you want to go? In the US refresher course is offered. Also hospitals won't take anybody who is license but did not practice for a ling time. They will send you first to a refresher class. It happened to my co worker. She is license but did not work as a nurse for 15 years. She was educated here in the US.So decide first where do you want to go.- Is the Grass Really Greener Stateside? Honestly.
we filipinos wants to get ahead.we do not expect from the government because there is none.we do the best that we can to get ahead.when we graduate from nursing school we do not owe any student loans, unlike here in the us, my co workers will owe $50,000.easily when they graduated.employement wise it's better here.to save for the future, it depends on individual financial goal..although i miss homeland life still better here.- West Negros College
So you mean. you don't advice people to go to WNC?..I think PRC wants some TONG it's not their "say"I can see if it was CHED.I feel sorry for you after all the hard work, you guys were sent home. What did WNC do about this problem? - Commission on Higher Education
