Hi aktucker, I am in the Texas area and I am interested

It's a 60 -bed nursing facility. There aren't that many but still over 35. there is also the retirement and assisted living facilities connected on different floors. They said there will be another rn on another floor.

I was thinking that. They said one week because I worked as an Lvn for a few months a couple of yrs ago. I haven't had any calls from anywhere else. It's been a yr since I left school. I wonder if I could ask for more training after this week.

I finished nursing school last May and looked for a job everywhere. Last week I got an offer for charge nurse/nights at a nursing home. Because it's night I will be me and the can. I am really nervous. I will have 1 week orientation. ANy advice?

I would like to try this. I only have an ADN. I tried applying at positions with Bentaub, but I was decline week after week. I raduaed May 2012. I wonder if they only want BSN.

I finished my adn may 2012 and still found no job. I guess I might need this too. I don't know anywhere that offers this. SO is this similar to a clinical or is the like a test we have to fill out and pass.

yeah i'm having trouble finding a clinical site in the houston area too.

How are the clinicals? DO you have a RN preceptor. How many hours a week are the clinicals/ I thought it was 24 hours a week.

they haven't had a transition program in the past 2 yr. People were told they didn't have enough students applying. Had to look elsewhere.

How much was the test? Will they take cash or do they need a money order? So there is going to be sscience in it?

what are the two PE classes needed for San Jac? I wonder if we could take them at HCC?

I was hoping the LVN-BSN program would be finished in 18months, but I guess it would be a full 2 yrs. Are you in that program?

I will hopely start Spring 2010 in their LVN- BSN program. Has anyone done it before? I know that it is four semesters. Does that include summer school?

There are P.E courses required. is it one P.E class or is it 2. DO you have to take it at San Jac?

No i didn't do this now, I did this in the fall. I applied early in the semester. But every time I went there no one was there or they said that they weren't handling the payment for the hesi

I know what you mean. I think alot of people try to run things or say that they are not doing that job. I'm an LVN also and I feel like we do so much work there. It isn't bad to do work but when you have other people sitting down and surfing the web, it's jsut weird.

I understand what you are coming from. I applied early and whenever i stopped by to pay for the hesi test, They would tell me to call someone else, or come by another day, ot that they didn't deal with it someone else did. SOme days no one was in the office. By the time i got in contact with someone she told me that the last hesi test was already taken and that I would have to appl for the LVN- RN program for summer of 2010 instead of summer 09.

I'm applying for the San Jac SOuth LVN-ADN. I was wondering hat the complet elist of pre reqs were. DO we have to aomplete all classes before we apply or can we still be in the classes while applying. I know there are 2 p.E.'s I wonder if we have to take them at that campus. SOmeone said that there are certain classes that we have to take at San Jac. Is that true?

hi i wanted to apply for san jac south LVN-BSN. What are the complete pre reqs for their program. DO you have to complete all class before applying or can you still be in the class while you are applying? I heard that you have to take certain courses at their school. Is that true?

I live near the medical center in Houston. SO all I know is Prairie View for LVN-BSN and Houston Community College for LVN-ADN
