im confused regarding my reapplication..help!
hello! i just want to know... when you re-apply for nclex exam - do they give you a new eligibility period? how long is the period? say, my initial eligibility is good for 1 year and will be expiring dec2008, if ever i fail my exam, i'll be taking it this nov.2008, does it mean i have to start the application process all over again? thanks and good luck to everybody who'll be taking their nclex exam.

New Mexico Licensure Question
hi. i already received my NM license. i'm planning to endorse my license to NJ. i'm just wondering... 'cause as per NJ's application form for license endorsement - "You MUST provide your Social Security number to the Board or Committee. Failure to do so will result in denial/non renewal of licensure or certification." So does it mean that I can't endorse my license? This is the case for all the states right? So is endorsement possible or not? Thanks for the help, really confused here. H.

nclex in the u.s., then back to the phils.
hello. i just want to ask any of the readers if they've done this before. i'm from a wealthy clan here in the phils. (political family), the main reason why i want to migrate to the u.s. is because my fiancee wants us to and yes... because of our politicians here = (. so i really don't have any personal sad stories, i'm just being smart about my decisions. meaning... i really have no intentions of staying there illegaly thus the reason to become a nurse instead... and before anybody judge me again... don't worry more or less i believe i'm qualified to become a nurse because of my present occupation and the community service that i usually do in our country due to my parents' government position. again - i said more or less. anyways my question is - i'm going to the u.s. to take the nclex afterwhich i'll be going back to the phils. because i have no plans of overstaying and that is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. problem is - somebody told me that when i take the nclex in the u.s. and then go back to the phils. and then go to the u.s. again i will be denied entry by the immigration officer ar the airport since allegedly they have this database wherein they can check whether you took the nclex or not... thus denying you entry because you are basically a nurse. that's my worry. i want to take the nclex in the u.s. because i have friends and relatives there, so don't suggest hk or guam. i know my options - BUT i want to take it there (is that illegal?). so in short the question is: will i be denied entry to the u.s. the next time i enter??? i'm a frequent flyer to the u.s., as in i go there at least 2x a year usually (feb or march - fares are cheaper and during the sem break here in the phils., oct. ) if that's a bunch of crap, then good - i'll take the nclex in the u.s., but if it's true that's when i'll decide to take nclex elsewhere. thank you in advance for all the help. i appreciate it. godspeed!

Any Filipino Nurse here that is currently working in Calif?? Work on tourist visa?
just a thought... you mentioned that her tourist visa expired last dec. 15 right, but she is only on her 4th month there. i'm just curious... how many months was given to her by the homeland security upon her entry to the US, 'cause as far as i know - you don't necessarily have to follow the visa end date. upon your entry to the US they will determine how long you can stay in the US. usually they give tourists 6mos., so if she's just in her 4th mo. than she can still come back to the phils. and do things the legal way. i'm just telling you this, 'cause maybe you didn't want her to come back thinking that she's already staying there illegaly. BUT please check her passport first, for all I know they might've given her 3mos. or less to stay there... but like i've said usually they give you 6mos. to legally stay in the country as a tourist.

Can I Take NCLEX in Cali w Tourist Visa?
hi just to clarify - i assume I MAY take the nclex exam in cali. if i have my att already, right? i mean, if money wasn't an issue and i have a tourist visa, I MAY take it there right? i'm planning to simply take the exam there and then go back to the phils. after and to fix all the necessary papers needed for my immig. here in the phils. (granted that retrogression has already been lifted). i'm asking 'cause i'm planning to go there to visit some friends and i thought of also taking the test there... and then come back here after taking the exam. so, will that be okay?

VISASCREEN GOODNEWS for june 2006
first of all congrats to gracediwa:) honestly good for you. BUT i don't want to mislead other readers... to quote gracediwa she mentioned - I did not register for the PRC license. But that doesn't make any difference, coz I am still one of the june 2006 batch. - well in my opinion it makes all the difference, because i believe the people who are really waiting for such news re: issuance of the visa screen are those people who took the NLE last june'06 and were unfortunately part of the "cheating scandal." that's the issue here. so to those june'06 batch who are waiting for the "real" good news re: the visa screen. sorry... but still no cigar!
