LPN is attainable w/out Experience?
12 years ago I got my GED at the age of 43 and went directly to school to become an LPN and graduated with honors...not bad for a sassy brat who dropped out at 15...haha...it was the BEST experience!!!...HARD yes but well worth the effort...if you want something badly enough you can do it no matter what your previous experience might have been...so GOOD LUCK!!!...you won't regret it...

Going back to school for LPN at age 47
Not to worry!!! I started LPN school at 43 after getting my GED and graduated with honors. AND most of the people in my class were 30+. After 10 years am finally working on my RN...hmmm...after that who knows!!!...You will not regret it. Made some lifelong friends and love nursing for the most part...The best to you...

nurse to patient ratio laws ohio
well I put in my 2 week d/t this very reason The LTC I work for is trying to run 1 nurse for 47 residents on 2p-10p shift and management simply stated that they were "allowed 1 nurse to 50 residents" Well they may be "allowed", but trying to find nurses to put their licenses on the line and compromise the care and well being of our older generation might be another thing. This nurse is saying NO!!!...its not fair to nurses and it sure is NOT fair to our residents or their family members who depend on us to give their loved ones the best possible care we can provide.I just wonder how far the numbers have to go before someone intervenes. God Bless all the nurses!!!
