  2. I took my exam on 7/18 at 1100 and found out this am at 0845 that I had passed!!! I called my state BON and she told me over the phone. I would try calling! The link below has a list of all of the state BON numbers. Good luck!! Let me know how it turns out!!! http://www.board-of-nursing.com/
  3. :balloons: Congratulations, RN:nurse:!!!!!! :balloons: I passed too with 75, and my friend found out today that she passed with 265 as well!!!!!
  4. I just found out today that a girl I went to nursing school with took her exam on Friday or Saturday and got 265 questions and passed!!! Have faith!!
  5. You failed?? I'm so sorry to hear that!! Keep your chin up and I'm sure you'll do great the next time!! Just keep studying and stay positive and you'll do great!! Use the wait time as a way to reinforce your weak areas and you'll make it through!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!
  6. You're test sounds just like mine!! I thought I was the only one who had to interpret an ECG strip!! I knew it off the bat, but it was a little strange to see it!!! I wasn't able to get my results today, so we'll have to just wait til tomorrow!! Hopefully it will be up tomorrow morning!!! Good luck hearing your results!!
  7. :balloons: congratulations, rn!!!!! :balloons: i'm so happy for you!! by the time i got your note they were already closed. i guess i'll just have to wait til tomorrow and hope that my name is on the state website!!! i need a license # by friday in order for me to start orientation on monday, july 24th!!! i'll let you know tomorrow when i find out my results!!!
  8. Daye - I'm sure we both did great!!! I'm glad you were able to get in there before your appointment. My appointment wasn't scheduled until 2pm and we arrived at the testing center at 10:30. I was mortified to think that we would have to wait around for a while, but the lady was so nice and told us that we could take the exam then if we were ready. So by 11am I was beginning my test!! The wait is almost over. I am getting so ansy!!! I just want to know now!!! Who do we have to pay to find out early???? HAHAHAHA!!! Don't they know the stress they are putting us through?? Good luck finding out tomorrow! Let me know how it goes!!! ~Jackie
  9. You guys sound like I did yesterday, except I just didn't write it down. I took my exam yesterday morning and got 75 questions. It was strange because it didn't seem like the questions I was getting weren't extremely difficult, which concerns me quite a bit. Don't get me wrong, there were quite a few that I was completely stumped on, but there were also a bunch that I thought to myself - this test can't be this easy!!! I got a lot of prioritization, who would you see first, who would you call back. Then I got 5/6 specific med questions which I think I pretty much knew or could at least rationalize my answers to. I had NO delegation and NO math. 2 select all that apply, which is good because I HATE those questions!!! I also got a lot of specific questions about diseases asking me what I would report immediately. I'm glad I went over and memorized lab values, because I had at least 5 questions where I needed to know ranges in order to answer the questions!! I'm nervous! In my opinion I either really knew my stuff and sailed through the exam or I failed so badly that they just thought "get this girl out of here!!" Either way, I left there with an uneasy feeling. I think the thing that made matters worse was that my friend who came up with me got 265 questions, and when we were talking about the exam, her test seemed 10X harder than mine did. She was getting questions about ventilators and all I kept thinking to myself was "oh s**t, i must have bombed it!!" I guess we'll find out tomorrow!! I heard a rumor that you can call Pearson and get your results in 24 hours. Any one else hear that???
  10. To everyone taking the exam tomorrow, you will all do wonderfully! Have faith in yourselves and remember to breathe. Read everything carefully and make sure you understand what the question is asking before you move on to the next one! I took mine today so I know how you all must be feeling right now!!! GOOD LUCK!!!! :nuke: Don't forget to believe in yourselves and keep telling yourselves that you will pass and this is just one more test! It is nothing worse than you took in nursing school! Keep optimistic and I'm sure we will all see "PASS" next to our names in a couple days!! ~Jackie
  11. OK - well after an hour and 25 minutes and 75 questions later, the evil NCLEX is over!!! My nerves are absolutely shot!! I have no clue as to whether or not I failed and to be perfectly honest, I am dreading the next 48 hours. I feel like I am going to go insane!! The worst part about it is that the people who took the real estate exam the same time were getting their results right when they left!! I was SO JEALOUS!!! Maybe someday nurses will be able to get their results instantly. Until then....48 hours and counting!!!! :uhoh21: :uhoh21: :uhoh21:
  12. You too Daye!!! I'll keep you in my thoughts tomorrow also!! We'll do great, I'm sure of it!! Let me know how your test goes!!! ~ Jackie
  13. I'm taking the test tomorrow at 2:00pm. I was told by my friend who already tested that if you get there early, they may let you test earlier, so I'm shooting for that. Otherwise I'll go grab lunch with my friend who is also taking it with me!!! Keep your fingers crossed for me!! With how anxious I am now, I'm definitely going to need it!!! :uhoh3: I'm hoping I'll be able to get at least a little bit of sleep tonight!! I'll let you all know how it goes!!! Thanks for all the kind words of support!! ~ Jackie
  14. :balloons: CONGRATULATIONS, RN!!!!!!!!!!! :balloons: Hopefully I'll see "pass" on my screen after my test on Tuesday too!!!! Good luck on the job hunt!! I'm sure you'll get a wonderful job!
  15. I read in another forum about the Prioritization book, and I just finished it tonight!! My test is on Tuesday, so I'll let you know if it was helpful!!! :)
  16. OK - I am definitely going to have to print this out!!! Thanks for the breathing tip!! I'm always forgetting to breathe when I test, which is NOT good!!!! I'll keep this in my head on Tuesday!!! :)
  17. Paleo - does your friend have any advice for me??? I could really use some reassurance right now!!!!!!
  18. Opal - I am taking my NCLEX on Tuesday and I did the NCSBN review. I haven't taken it yet, but have been getting around the same scores as you and feel like that is enough. A friend of mine took the review and got about the same scores as I did and she took her exam and passed! I'll let you know if, I mean WHEN I pass, to let you judge if your scores are high enough. If they are for me, they should be for you too!!
  19. Shakira - I feel the same way you do. I take my exam this Tuesday at 2:00 and have been feeling like if I do any more questions my head is going to explode. I have decided that today is my last day of studying and I am not going to pick up another book before the exam. I figure that since I have problems with anxiety I should try my best to stay calm before Tuesday, which means that I need to clear my head before the test. Try your best to study, but my biggest recommendation is to take breaks. I would take a break every hour or so, just to rejuvenate myself before getting back to studying. It helped me quite a bit!! Hope it helps you too!!
  20. I'm right there with you kinajp!!! I take mine at 2:00pm on Tuesday and I have been going nuts trying to keep myself calm. I keep thinking to myself that I know I can do this, but there is still a piece of me that has doubt!! We'll have to stay positive!! I read another post where someone said they went in there just telling themselves over and over again that they are going to pass and they wrote 75 in big numbers at the top of their board that they give you, and it worked!! I'll just try and stay positive, and I'll be thinking about you tomorrow!! Good luck!!! You'll do great! Let us know how it was!! :)
  21. I'm so sorry to hear about your exam. You need to send Suzanne4 a Private Message and ask her for information about her study plan. I know that the first part of it is going through the Saunders 3rd edition book. Do each of the chapter's questions and if you get less than a 75% on any of them go back and read the chapter content. If you do well on them, just keep going to the next chapter and don't bother reading the content. Hope this helps!! I know her program takes like 6 weeks. I didn't have time to do it because I didn't PM her in time, but hopefully it will help you out! I know everyone talks very highly of her plan!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!
  22. I'm taking mine next Tuesday, and I feel just as nervous as you! Just keep breathing and take it one question at a time. You'll do great! Let us know how it goes!!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!!!!
  23. I went out and bought this book after I read your post!! I hope it helps! I am getting really nervous about the prioritizing/delegation part because that seems to be a huge aspect of the exam based on the comments people are making! Thanks for the tip!!! It's nice to hear about good references!!
  24. Thanks so much for the great website!! I thought I had a good understanding of infection control to begin with, but this was EXTREMELY helpful! Hopefully it will work out when I take the NCLEX on 7/18!! Thanks again for the great tip!!!
  25. I had to wait a little over a month to get my ATT and when I went to schedule my test, I thought I was going to be sick. It wasn't until I actually had the date set that it truly hit me that I was really going to have to take this test. I barely slept at all the day I scheduled it, but am feeling a little better now. It feels good to know when I'm taking it, even though I am not even close to feeling ready for it. I had the option of choosing 7/5 but didn't feel like I would be quite prepared at that point to take it so I decided to wait a little while longer. Good luck studying - I'm sure we'll all do GREAT!!!
