  1. I've been looking a case like this but no one can answer me ,hope you can help me.Can a foreighner can go there and work while taking a refresher course or is a refresher course open only for the Canadians? I'm preparing to go there and look for the possibility to be back in nursing.

Dear SSSSSS, I'm very eager to know about the foreighn nurses who are in Canada for a job but not thru their profession(lets say caregivers),are they not allowed to study to be as lpn or as canadian nurse to be while doing their job?Where's the best place to study or can you suggest best way how to start anth best place to go? thank you.

Dear nrswnabee, Thank you for you advices, could you share me more about these things.I7ve been staying here in Japan and I don't have any image of schooling in US.I've been researching for long how to be a CNA there in US but as a non-immigrant visa changing to what visa if I'm already there.I've been confused to some informations.Can I not declare that it will be from my own savings that I want to spend?To be a CNA does it cost too much?Do you know any schools that allows me be certified; if I just go thereto look for the institution is it possible to find one?You are there in US so I think you know more informations than me who'se just searching from computer.Thanks.

Dear nrswnabee, I have read your post,I thought I have to surrender being a nurse but I hope you can advice me cause you're already in the situation I'm very eager to know.I have a visitor visa for US and until 2010 I hope I can use it;planning to go there to study if I'm still qualified for. I'm planning to go to Canada to apply as caregiver if theres no chance there but I think it just make the process longer.Hope you can help me by answering this questions. 1.How can I apply for F-1;What are the qualifications or requirements. 2.Does age matters-1981 graduate in Phil. so now I'm 46 Licenced in same year 3.If allowed , what program is the best to enroll.How much is expected to prepare for it(see if I can have the budget) Hope you can help me,Please any related information about this can help kindly share me.Thanks.

  10. interstate5 thanks a lot.My first choice is to have a refresher course but I don't know where to start .In the Phil. they told me no refresher course bec .I have already license.If I go home to Phil. and practice again nursing are hospitals allowing me to do the job for I know nurses is so many specially these days.Can you suggest any best way?   11. Anybody can advice? I need an honest advice,If you're in my situation , what's the best decision ,I need to move right now 'cause of my age 47.(BSN RN '81,practiced my proffession 3years for long past years,after that I didn't practice nursing but contineously renewing my license up to now.I've been reciding for 19 years in Japan as permanent resident ,I have a caregiver certification since 2004 in japan but I didn' apply for it for some reason.Now I'm really confused,some adviced me to be back in nursing ,there's still as big chance but I really need to refresh my mind before taking Nclex or any nursing test;I'm planning to go to Phil. but what action should I do, is there a refresher course there or is the review conducted there enough to refresh my mind for the test?;If I go to Canada as caregiver first and then take their refresher there and take their RN test (cause they don't consider our license in Phil.)To go to another country from Japan as tourist is easier than from phil.but I'm confused ,really confused which is the best plan and way for me, Let's say a last decision to be carefully plan anybody can help?Thanks.

  14. Hello waipiopatty, It seems that you know well about big island.I've been only in Honolulu.How's Honolulu compared to Big Island? Last month I've known that my sister is married in Big Island and she told me to go there.Will you please share me if what kind of work can I start there, a related jobs in nursing;I am planning to go there and search for work while preparing for NECLEX(I'm a Phil.rn ;permanent resident in Japan);is foreign nurse allowed and have a chance there to work and needed as what the news of US been advertising?Thanks.

Dear lots of luv, I'm also new here,and away from our home country and so eager to go to US to work.You're so lucky if you have relatives there who can help you or can look for a direct sponsor not like me I have no one to contact as relative;Its good I found this allnurses to know everything I want to ask cause I feel I'm alone in an Island here in Japan I can't contact anybody here lots of wasted time.I'm thinking of resigning to my current job now not related to nursing if only can give me best way to do.Thanks to suzanne and everybody for I'm having a self- confidence back to nursing.Please do send more informations.lots of luv hope to hear good news from you.I seldom open this computer cause of lots of work to do.I guess I have give chance for my nursing carreer.Goodluck!!!!
