  1. I am glad your dad is ok now.
  2. At my workplace,we dilute it in 300 ml Normal saline solution or our pharmacy provides us with prepared package. It's usually given in two hours for inpatient.. I believe it must always be diluted, it is painful undiluted.
  3. We nurses are very dynamic, we were trained right from the start to adapt to the many changes that our profession will encounter. We had time to search deep into us to be able to be confident enough to face these changes.ACLS trainings are no exception to this, by focusing on the goal of saving people's lives, these will help us face the challenge of the course. Focus dear colleague and we will surely make it.
  4. Thank you very much for your advise. I started putting your advise in the schedules I prepared for the orientation of our newly hired nurses. My superiors actually think that indeed this will really be interactive for them. Again thank you very much.:kiss
  5. Hello! I am glad I found this thread... I must say its such a relief to do so, although I feel so totally out of place. I have worked in the Clinical Area, particularly the Male Medical Ward as Charge Nurse for four years here in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. I am a registered Nurse from the Philippines and I am here in on contract. Just recently, I had a sort of career promotion, I am upgraded to the Total Quality Management Office as Utilization Reviewer. Now I am expected to act as Nurse Manager already with all the other responsibilities that comes with it. Its been months now, 5 exactly but the shift from clinical to management/administrative work is quite a change for me. Please, kind somebody, inspire me... I need your advice a lot.
  6. Hello fellow Nurse Educators out there! Please share your ideas on how to provide effective and interactive educational hours/time to newly hired nurses. I often find it useful to get insight from others and I know I will get as much from you dear colleagues. Help out please...
  7. Hi! I've tried working for both schedule, both have their pros and cons but personally I prefer to work :balloons: on the 8 hour shift. Its more apt for me and I can say I am productive and can concentrate better. Have a blessed day all... Happy Nurses day!:monkeydance:
  8. You should also find time to educate yourself, reading about it will enanble you to better deal with them. good luck

Hello!!!! Have A Great Day. You'll Do Great When You Get Help From Those Who've Done This Before. I Did This And I Got The Help I Needed.
  10. :blushkiss At my workplace this concept is still on a trial basis but I think efficient nursing care is still the most effective approach to be used. Specially because the people who's supposed to be part of RRT is not that well attuned to the concept yet. :wink2:
  11. The field is the best with all its highs and lows, its still very rewarding. Best of luck to all of us.
  12. Thanks for the tidbits of info, I've learned quite well from it. I am having this same problem in my workplace in the middle east. Too many work not enough time to chart them all but through time management I did got :yeahthat:the hang of it. I am now able to get out on time.
