  1. Do you know what dietary supplements can make you test positive? I've been taking a lot of vitamins and supplements lately
  2. I started in 2020, entered monitoring in 2025 and just continued working there. I just told my manager and CNO because they had to sign something
  3. I have soy sauce all the time
  4. Yeah I'm still in the same job I had before monitoring
  5. I totally agree, the monitoring program stated clearly I have no concerning substance use and yet the Board makes me drug test anyway. They said it's basically the only way they can measure daily compliance. Which I don't get because I submit reports monthly so how does that not measure compliance.
  6. I'm actually not in the program for substances I'm in it for psychosis. But they make you drug test anyway even if you're in it for psychological reasons. I thought that was as low as it goes
  7. Wow I didn't know they had tests that low
  8. I really like the taste of beer and I miss it. I'm gluten free so the non alcoholic options are limited. I found non alcoholic gluten free beer that is 0.2% alcohol. ChatGPT says I would have to consume 58 beers to have a positive ETG at 100 ng/ml. I feel pretty safe drinking this but I'm just wondering if other people have tried this and passed their UA's.
  9. Have you had any trouble finding jobs after finishing monitoring? Is it easier than finding jobs while in monitoring?
  10. How difficult has it been to get hired after completing monitoring? I'm worried about my job outlook for the rest of my life, even after monitoring.
  11. Wow that is really disappointing to hear. I was hoping all of this would be behind me someday. Someone else in this thread is saying it's easy to find a job after monitoring. I want to find out where she got that information from. Can I ask where you got this information from? Is this your personal experience? Someone else in this thread is having the opposite experience. What state are you in?
  12. That's awesome to hear, thank you!
  13. Good to know, thank you. Do you know if people ever get hospital jobs after being in monitoring? Or do most people stay out of the hospital after something like this happens?
  14. So good to hear! Thank you for your responses
  15. Thank you for this! This gives me a lot of hope! I was worried that I accidentally flushed my entire career down the toilet by ending up on the NPDB.
  16. That's so good to hear that you were able to find an inpatient job! What specialty are you working in?
  17. Do you know anything about finding work after monitoring? Is it as hard as finding work during monitoring?
  18. When I was being investigated, I had to sign a cease practice agreement, which was reported to the NPDB. I imagine this will show permanently on the NPDB. Now I'm in a monitoring program, which I obviously have to disclose to employers. But once I'm done with monitoring, won't any employer in any state be able to see what's on the NPDB? They'll obviously ask why I signed a cease practice agreement. Does this mean I'll have a hard time getting a hospital job for the rest of my career? Does anyone have any experience searching for jobs after finishing monitoring? Is it as difficult as finding a job while in monitoring?
  19. Can I ask if employers will still know you were in the program even after you finish your monitoring agreement? I am worried because I was reported to the NPDB. I'm worried this will hurt my nursing job prospects for the rest of my life.
  20. Im still living in constant fear of incidental exposure. It's so hard to convince myself that I can eat normal food. I'm missing out on social engagements because I'm so scared to eat food that I did not prepare myself. I'm scared to eat at restaurants. I'm scared because everything seems to have vinegar in it. Do you guys have any experience eating food or sauce with vinegar in it and still passing a drug test?
  21. That's good to hear!! What do you like about dialysis? I've been considering it if I can't get a hospital job.
  22. That's really interesting insight! I never would have thought to do that. I may consider doing this.
  23. Hi everyone, I am luckily going to begin the job search process soon now that I have entered monitoring. I am looking to hear some stories from you guys about your job searching strategies, disclosing monitoring during the interview process, what job you ended up getting, and how long this whole process took!
  24. You're right, I've gotten into more of a groove now where I just check if I need to test every day, turn in reports, and that's it. I feel less worried about incidental exposure.
  25. Of course my full time job had to be the one that wasn't protected under FMLA. Otherwise that would've been the easy choice. I'm hoping I can transition to another role within the same organization that my PRN job is at. If not then I'm in the same boat as a lot of folks on this website. Putting in tons of applications until something works out.
