  1. I've seen some of this that is related to a specific disease, but there's things I can't even understand. I've seen demanding, and I've seen incredibly nice people in the nursing home.
  2. kathy, i totally agree with you. they don't belong anywhere else but behind prison walls, in my opinion.
  3. I TRULY hope this person is not a nurse now. Did he ever get reported? Speaking of wasting time---this one totally wasted his nursing school instructors time, as well as his employers time. How someone with an attitude like this ever chose to go through nursing school (and managed to graduate) is beyond me.
  4. After finding out for the umpteenth time that this pt. is not really in pain, and doesn't want a pain pill, I think I'd step back where they both could see me and would be giving both pt. and PITA daughter one heck of a toxic look in my eye. This is some mega-annoying behavior.
  5. I do know if anyone tried that kind of manipulation with me-------(the results are not going to be pretty)
  6. ICK! Now that's too much information.
  7. The only reform I'm with is smacking "selfish entitled" people upside the head. I personally think it would be cheaper in the long run than what the government is trying to come up with. (I have never understood why people go to the doctor for a cold or the sniffles.)
  8. This should be in the letters to the editor section in every newspaper in the country.
  9. What surprises me is why would anyone allow it?
  10. Actually a person can catch one there. I think I've heard about genital warts in one somewhere here at Allnurses.com
  11. Ick!!! Makes a person wonder about some people---------
  12. I don't think I even WANT to know-------
  13. Amazing how clumsy people can be when they're in the shower-------
  14. To me, there is abuse there. Maybe you can talk to the SW's supervisor. That is just messed up on so many levels. If it was a 12 year old girl having to wipe her fathers butt, I'm sure there would be a HUGE outcry. (This is a point that should be brought up to them.)
  15. As for the companion who didn't report the chest pain-- I would report that one soooo fast......... And I wouldn't react too well to the one who shushed me.
  16. I'm probably not going to want to know this, but just how did the guy use the maggots to get his high?
  17. i love this list, especially no. 5. funny how they're always "innocent". i also noticed around in my area, every time someone complains the cops are corrupt, they almost always can answer yes if i ask them if they've been arrested.
  18. I think it's time to document the issues and go up the chain of command. And I think your boss and coworkers need to spend some quality time reading this article. https://allnurses.com/nursing-articles/no-guarantees-264814.html
  19. You are so right about the teamwork, everyone should work together. Unfortunately sometimes people don't. I worked at a LTC facility where the CNA's didn't.
  20. YES!!!!! I couldn't have said this better myself, and I truly hope that every whiner in the country gets to hear this.
  21. I've wanted to do this-----when I watch "COPS" on T.V. Some people can sure whine when they get arrested.
  22. Okay-----------!?! I don't think I really want to know how this happened.
  23. I don't think anyone is ever going to look at chocolate covered cherries the same way again.
  24. Here it is. It's one that I started. https://allnurses.com/emergency-nursing/strange-things-found-299901.html
