New RN: Bullied + Depressed = Time to Quit?
that's definitely a situation that would make someone question their career choice. I've experienced something like this before and it drove me crazy. I eventually found something else, a non-bedside position and I would say that I feel better about it. Maybe a change of scenery would help you?

Change nursing jobs after 6 months?
I worked nights for a couple of years and I would say that it could definitely take a toll on your body and family life. It's hard when everyone is asleep and you're wide awake or vice versa. It's an adjustment. There are pros and cons. I eventually got used to it. I like that there were less people around during the night but I guess that would depends on the unit you're working in. I would think carefully about it if I wanted to switch to something else.

Nurse relative looking to get into LTC
I used to work LTC then moved to med Surg/ tele, L&D. I went back to LTC not too long ago as an RN MDS coordinator. It's a non-bedside position. I think there there are other opportunities/options with LTC. There are also management positions that she can look into.

If you could go back, start-over, change majors, what would you do and why?
Sometimes it's hard not to think about what I could have done instead of nursing. I've been a nurse for 10 years and I feel like maybe I should have picked something else. I didn't enjoy bedside as much as the other nurses that I know. Some of them have been working much longer than I have and they are still full of energy. Nonetheless, I did leave bedside nursing. I can say I am happier now. There are so many things we can do with nursing.

Looking for a MSN Informatics Preceptor
Hi, I'm in my last class for the MSN health informatics program at GCU and I'm need of a preceptor. It would be an informatics nurse with an MSN degree. Can anybody please help me or help me connect with one? This would be for April 2024. I know it's not a lot of time but I've been having a hard time finding one. I'm in NV. Thank you so much.

RN - LPN Power Struggle
I have also worked with nurses like this. I've met LPNs who are have so much experience and knowledge you would think they're RNs. But some of these LPNs never really rubbed it in my face. Sometimes I would forget that they are LPNs. Though there are a few who can be arrogant. Nonetheless, regardless the title or license we should all be supportive of each other.
- Is it possible to lose my license for this error?

In Search of Nurse Informatics Preceptor
@Golden_RN Hi. I'm also a MSN informatics student. I wanted to ask if you know anyone else who can be a preceptor or if you would be able to help? I'm sorry for some reason I can't send private messages so I have to respond to comments on other people's posts.

LTC physician visit
Years ago when I worked in SNF, whenever I did rounds with the physicians I made sure that I had the charts ready, any issues/concers, labs reviewed to show or discuss with physicians. It's very easy to forget what you would want to discuss with the physician so it would be best to write down things before he or she comes in. And then make sure you are familiar with the patients as they do like to ask questions.

Lacks joy in 20 years of nursing jobs
Finding a job that you enjoy is the key. I worked bedside nursing for a while but I knew it wasn't for me. I found a non-bedside position and have stuck with it for a few years. I've been working as RN assessment coordinator. I've been pursuing my MSN and I'm almost done. have you looked into other positions like case manager, research, teaching and etc? There are so many areas to consider.
