Glad to be here with you guys!
Quick question guys: I know some employers use a third party to do a social media check during the background check, which uses software to do a deep dive to find accounts registered to certain emails ect...LOL does anyone know if this site counts as such? I wouldn't think so but I figure it can't hurt to ask if anyone has any experience with this since I don't and I've always been pretty careful on social media...TIA!

Hey all, Okay so I have a question, needing to lift my spirits, I went to a concert this weekend ( ?Chevelle? ) and even tho I was on the lawn it felt like no matter where I stood I couldn't get away from the smell of pot I wouldn't be too worried about it but it was the same way at the show I saw 2 wks ago (I guess I'm going to have to lay off the music for a while but I already had both sets of tix)...I know they say no one fails from from second hand smoke but has anyone ever any legit sounding stories on here of issues as such?

I wanted to share this for anyone whom may read this and is just starting out with Texas, it had a lot of information I would've love to have when first applying for an agreed order years ago. It basically walks you through what a BON order will look like, what it all means and what will be expected of you ... https://www.BON.texas.gov/UnderstandingBoardOrders/index.asp.html First step down, tomorrow is another day I hope to take two more steps tomorrow ?? have a goodevening everyone

So it's been a few weeks since I've received my contract from the board, it looks exactly like what my lawyer negotiated, this is exactly what I was expecting... My thing is, I haven't done real hands on nursing for nearly 10yrs, then I get this order after applying to fully reinstate my license, wanting to go back to an office job and to go for my masters degree. My order states I have to do a year of work in bedside nursing while getting drug tested, I get that, 10 yrs ago I failed a drug test and they want to make sure I'm trust worthy, but I'm finding myself so anxious that it feels impossible to put in that first job application (of the many I'm sure it will take to even get an interview). I was a great nurse and I'm tech savvy but still, I'm so worried that technology has moved beyond me, even though I have my speech and smile all planned out I'm dreading handing 30 pgs of contract to interviewers over and over as required in my order and knowing I will be rejected again and again, and I'm terrified of the drug testing process-even though I am clean as a whistle and have complete confidence on that front, the horror stories of all of the mundane things that can trip up a simple UA and not only ruin any progress you've made with the board but make your situation so much worse is insane. I'm going to treat it like anything else that feels impossible, today I'm going do my initial required education, tidy my resume and put in my first few applications. LOL maybe after each step the tightness in my chest will lessen a little each time...I hope you're all hanging in there too ? Have a great day

Texas TPAPN case closed after failing to adhere to practice agreement
I agree, I gave my lawyer $3000 upfront and that covered most of the time we've worked together but def get a cost breakdown bc some of the quotes I got were more than double just to get started so it could go either way. I definitely recommend my lawyer (LOL recommendation thru a reddit convo funny enough but she's super attentive and has been great and negotiated hard for me rv been after I was just done with it) so send me a private msg if ud like a contact info... but since your already in it with yours, clarify with them first for sure. Keep your head up?

Glad to be here with you guys!
Hey yall I'm curious and I'm trying to prepare myself with what to expect with upcoming uds. I have some pretty severe performance anxiety and am wondering if anyone could share about their experiences with board orders in TX (I know it's different in every state and I guess it could be different for those who are testing for TPAPN or just thru the BON but not sure since I guess they both go thru affinity or recovery trek so as specific as your comfortable would be appreciated)? Ex did you have many issues with samples being rejected (if so why), things that caused an abnormal result (if so what), were you timed (how long), monitored (how invasive), etc... I've heard so many horror stories of how it can go wrong and I just want to give myself the best possible chance to start off on the right foot. Plus if you look at the number of views on each post, it's obvious there are lots of people out there looking for info that don't ask so maybe we can start a dialog to help others who are shy too. I am fully clean and healthy and can pass any type of test however I have some big anxiety issues from things in my past about taking off my clothes in front of others so I guess my biggest fear going into this freezing up and not being able to produce a sample on demand and the facility reporting that as a fail... Thanks in advance, I appreciate you guys!

Affinity vs recovery trek in texas
You're amazing, thank you so much for the info! LOL my body does crazy things and I've had some crazy false positives that are scary even though they are eventually negative so I guess I'll just have to be super strict on intake, which I'll live on water and chicken breast for as long as I need to if I don't have to get naked in front of anyone LOL I've been joking with my husband about watching me pee for practice runs just in case! Thanks again and have a great day ?

New to testing recovery trek help
Hi I noticed you didn't find any help on this thread, I was just wondering what state you were in and how your first few months have been going? I'm new to the forum and sound like we all need to support each other as much as possible...
- Anyone else forced to get naked for supervised drug test?

Affinity vs recovery trek in texas
So I know it may not exactly apply to me since I'm not in TPAPN but here's my big questions. 1 if you have a positive result, does it automatically go for confirmation testing to confirm its not a false positive before the board or your cm looses it and sends you for an eval or makes you stop working or something of the like or are you immediately guilty until proven innocent in Texas? 2 Were all or any of your test witnessed and if so how invasive was it? I'm super compliant but I have some anxiety issues about getting naked in front of others because of some issues in my past and it literally just occurred to me that this may be an issue for me and I'm terrified that if I freeze up bc of it and can't preform they will call it a fail....

Affinity vs recovery trek in texas
Right, that's what I thought but you can definitely find an active contact between the BON and recovery trek...LOL it's seems counter productive to have 2 contacts but hey we are in texas and I guess there could be a million reasons for that....
