  1. I am sorry it took so long. I had to work today then of course went out to eat to celebrate :biere:!!!!!!It felt so good being at work and actually being a NURSE!!!!!!!!!! not a unit secretary which is what they let me do until i passed!!! Amy I know you can do it. I will keep you on my mind until you retake. !!!:biggringi Cortney, RN
  2. Hey Angel1979- I failed the Nclex my first time around and just found out today that i passed the second time with 75 ?s!!! I was so depressed for like ever when I found out I didn't pass the first time. I was more embarrased than anything, b/c I already had a job in the ICU and already in the Critical Care Residency!!! (very embarassing) They let me be a Unit Secretary within the unit and I was able to continue to go to the Critical Care classes twice a week, which helped also. But I just wanted to say keep your head up b/c it happens so much more than most people think. I just couldn't believe it was me when it happened!!!! which I am sure is what you are thinking!!!! GOOD LUCK and keep your head up and YOU CAN PASS!!!
  3. WELL EVERYONE, THE RESULTS ARE IN I OFFICIALLY PASSED MY SECOND TIME AROUND!!!!! I HAD 75 ?S THIS TIME AND FELT VERY CONFIDENT WHEN I LEFT THE TESTING CENTER THIS TIME. I APPRECIATE ALL YOUR PRAYERS!!!! I WROTE WHAT I DID TO STUDY ON THE THREAD (NCLEX MARCH 20) GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE STILL TO TAKE IT.
  4. HEY EVERYONE!! Well I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The first test I had 147 this time I had 75 and found out this morning that I passed!!! I was SO relieved! I felt like I lost about 50 lbs off of my shoulders of pressure!!! I want to thank you guys for all your support and prayers. This time around was a whole lot easier. Im not saying that the content was easy, but there was so much less stress this time. I took my time and answered the questions. I wrote 1234 on my dry erase board on each question and got it down to 2 like always and then chose the best from those 2. It helped me so much to see it on paper before I made a decision!!! Thanks to everybody!!! CORT81, RN:nurse:
  5. Thank you so much Eliza Mae...and you are right, it is over!!! I will know Wednesday and am going to play the waiting game until then! Thanks for your prayers, I definetly felt all of them!!!
  6. Well it is 0930 & I am done with my test and back at the hotel trying to slow my heart down a bit. Who knows how it went. I had 3 select all that apply, Gout, Infective Endocarditis, lots of first, initial, priority to see patients. I WROTE IN BIG LETTERS ON MY DRY ERASE BOARD, "I CAN PASS"!!! I kept praying saying God give me enough questions to make me be an RN. I will know Wednesday and of course will keep you all informed. I can find out at 8:00 am but will be in my critical care course at the hospital and haven't decided whether I want to look at work or not. But will let EVERYONE know either way--b/c this site has definetly been my rock. Last night I wanted to do questions and instead got on here to help my nerves :wink2: Keep my sanity in your prayers for until Wednesday -Cort81
  7. Well there is 11 hours till the big test!!! Thanks to everyone for all your prayers and I will be sure to let you know the outcome!! I feel your prayers!
  8. CONGRATULATIONS 2005GRAD!!!! I am so proud of you. My test is in the morning at 8 am!!! I haven't gotten extremely nervous yet, I feel alot better than the first time, but still somewhat nervous. We drove to the testing center and are staying in a hotel right next door tonight, so that I can walk to the testing center in the morning, which is good so no traffic issues!! Anyones I read the lyrics you wrote, and loved them!! WISH ME LUCK--!! Nclex here I come MARCH 20!!!
  9. CONGRATS SHAYCIVIC!!!! I am so happy for you!!! I am ready for Monday so that I can take that test again. I hope I am in your shoes next week!! CONGRATS RN!!!
  10. Good luck Shayc!!! Remember to relax and walk in there knowing that you are going to come out as an RN!!!
  11. Well everyone the day is almost here. I have 2 more days of studying and a few more questions then I am putting the books away. Congrats to Immortal RN!!!!, and Incredibles06 I am sure you did great!!! I have said lots of prayers and have not gotten very nervous this time yet. I will let you guys know as soon as I am done and back in town how the test went. I am in TX so thank goodness for quick results. By God's Grace next Wednesday I will be able to write RN behind my name. Thanks to everyone for their support and keep me in your prayers!!!! NCLEX HERE I COME (march 20)
  12. GOOD LUCK INCREDIBLES--I will be in your same shoes a week from tomorrow. I'll say a prayer for you, but you are ready this time. Remember to breathe and RELAX....Im pretty sure it isn't that we didn't know the info, it is TEST ANXIETY:uhoh3: Keep telling yourself to breathe. A friend of mine that took it and passed with 75 ?'s said that she wrote 1234 on the dry erase board they give you and did the process of elimination by marking out the numbers with the questions. I think sometimes it is easier to SEE it on paper!!! Hope that helps. GOOD LUCK INCREDIBLES, RN!! NCLEX HERE I COME (MARCH 20)
  13. I will definetly keep you in my prayers!!! We can pray for each other and ourselves..LOL I take mine again exactly two weeks from today. In 14 days I will be done with that test and by God's grace will have walked out as a RN this time!!! NCLEX MARCH 20th HERE I COME!!! ( ;) im stealing immortal's lines, they seem to work;) ;) )
  14. Hey bbgirl. Im pretty sure today was the big day for you. How did it go?
  15. Hey 2005 grad When do you retake your nclex. I saw your post that victory today was yours. So, Im guessing today!!! Let us know how it goes:lol2:
  16. CONGRATS Immortal. My time is coming two weeks from today...I have full plans of following in your footsteps!!! Any advice? I am so proud of you!!
  17. Hey Army Kitten, how many questions did you have and any tips for those of us taking it soon. My test #2 is 2 weeks from today. I have been doing Saunders and Kaplan. -Cortney
  18. HEY AMY D--did you get ahold of your BON there in OHIO today and find out about the testing process?:smackingf
  19. Hey Immortal!!! I know you are so glad that test is over. I would do anything to be in your shoes. I have exactly twenty days. You have been such a great inspiration to me with all your posts and positive thinking. I am sure you did GREAT this time. How did you feel walking in there today. Any tips for those of us taking it again soon??!?! NCLEX MARCH 20th by God's grace will walk out as an RN!!!!
  20. HEY IMMORTAL-- HOW DID IT GO?
  21. That is how it is here in my state. If I were you I would call the Ohio BON and tell them your situation exactly and what the process is that you should go by. When I didn't pass I picked up the phone and was like okay what do I do now and the lady told me to pay my $200 to Pearson b/c this is how you get your ATT, and to send the application to the BON with your $
  22. I failed my test on Wednesday January 25th and resent my application on Friday the same day I found out. I guess it was about 2 weeks after I sent my money I got my ATT by email and registered with Pearson that way. And I had already reregistered with Pearson before I got my ATT in other words repaid my $200 to them.
  23. Hey Amy!! I am so glad you are going at the NCLEX again. You are going to be an RN VERY VERY SOON. I live in Texas and I know that we had to have a background check and fingerprint card when we applied for the NCLEX. It may be something you should ask because it sometimes takes a bit for those to get processed. Other than that we had an application to send with out money and registered with Pearson Vue and paid that $$$$ to actually take the test. After that is all done, you should get your ATT which will give you your validation dates for testing. Then you can call Pearson or go online and set your DATE!!! I hope this helps. That is how it is here in Texas...
  24. Hey Immortal. GOOD LUCK ON YOUR TEST tommorrow. You will walk out as an RN!!! Hopefully you did something really fun today or relaxing!! I am retaking my test in 3 weeks...Keep us informed on how you do!!!
  25. AMY D-I retake the test in about a month. I am in Texas and we can retake it every 45-50 days so I jumped right back in after my January test. I have the Saunders 3rd edition book & it is alot of nursing content and then has questions for that subject after each chapter, then there is a comprehensive test at the back. I also have the KAPLAN Nclex-RN exam book 2005-2006 edition and it is ALL ABOUT STRATEGIES that can be helpful when answering the questions. I have read it once and going through it for my second time, you also get online access to additional questions when you buy the book. I figure anything helps!!
