Yea, there's people I have read in these forums, myself and people in my previous group that LEGIT shouldn't be in monitoring at all. It's honestly insane. Crazy enough I actually did benefit from the program just as a person. Part of my contact was therapy for anxiety and after I completed that my therapist and I added some other goals that were pretty great for my personal development. Even though it's necessarily evil for the sake of our licenses..... it's still a ***ing money scam. Ya know?

It was definitely on my list of "over the counter meds that you shouldn't take and if you do you should get permission". I would do whatever you are comfortable with... I will say this, I don't believe I should have ever been in the program to begin with. If you look at my post history I replied to some one on my post for the reason I was in a contract. I don't have substance issues at all, they basically just ***ed me over. I imagine they still tested me the same as everyone else. But I took Benadryl a lot of times, and on occasion: I took baby sips of my husbands beer or whiskey to taste it when he was trying new ones. I ate vodka pasta sauce, I made red wine braised short ribs, I used vanilla extract, I ate things with poppy seeds, I used listerine, I used products for face and body that had alcohol and I'm pretty sure I took a muscle relaxer at some point…….. I never had a single issue. I don't think they are as sophisticated with testing at they make you believe. I think the standard urine screens we did most often are just the 10 drugs of abuse with a urine alcohol level, I know the hair test was 10-14 drugs of abuse, blood was always a peth. Granted if Benadryl was a drug of choice then I imagine they would definitely check for that.

Yea I made a post today about being free. I have a surprising amount of anxiety because I constantly feel like I'm forgetting something important. Very uptight and on edge. That's interesting that they did your hair test now. Mine was almost at exactly the 30 days left mark. I will say the blood test they did was probably not a peth? I'm not entirely sure what it was for - maybe it was but it was not in a grey top, it was 2 purple tops and they used a random cleaner that came in whatever kit they had it wasn't iodine but it wasn't chloraprep either. I was thinking maybe it was something that I included Kratom and Benadryl but I took Benadryl 2 days before the test and I had no issues so who knows? LOL

Hey there, I'm not in the same state as you but I finished my 2 year contract last week. I finished on the EXACT day I signed the contract 2 years ago. Others in my group got out 4-5 days early but that's the earliest I saw. About a month out I did a hair test and blood test through a 3rd party (not my typical lab) then I had 2 other urine drug screens at my lab. Those 5 tests were in the span of about a month. On the last day I got a call from the admin person who asked me some very basic questions about my experience. She then said she would be sending a letter of completion in the mail and I got a copy by email. Once I got the copy I deleted the app and that was it. The entire exit process in my program was very informal compared to the beginning. Other people need exit evaluations from an evaluator who gives their blessing to be finished, this was not a requirement for me personally. Hope this helps, you're almost there!!! I'm not sure how much help this is, but when I was in a program there were several people in my group who were doing their second round of monitoring after completing the program.... Relapsing and getting referred again. If it were me, I would do whatever it took to keep my license, hopefully your lawyer can work with the board and with TPAPN to work out a deal to allow you back in. I imagine it's going to be MUCH more difficult this go around but you have to deal with the consequences of your 3 positive tests. I wish you all the best!

I believe it's because I do not actually have an addiction issue. No history of drug use, not even weed when I was younger. I might drink around Christmas or at a concert otherwise I don't do that either. I had 0.5mg Xanax RX that I have as needed. I use it VERY rarely if I have a major anxiety attack....like I said the RX was mine but because I don't use it often it was past the 1 year expiration. It expired in mid March and I used it in June. So 2 months basically. I didn't think to request a new one from my primary because I still have plenty left. 2 days before my incident at work I had a huge panic attack that I could not control on my own so I took one. Then 2 days later all it peachy, I'm working as usual and ended up having a seizure at work in the break room. Several months later I had more seizures and had not taken any meds so my neurologist was able to say "yea it wasn't from the meds, that low of a dose isn't going to do that anyway”…….. because I had it at work I got a drug screen, they fired me after the medical officer called me to verify the RX and I gave him the info and he said yea this is expired. My employer sent me to PRN.

Admit nothing until the test comes back and you know if it's positive or not. If it's not positive, take that as a lesson, you do not want to be in the program longer than you have to be. Reach out to people in your groups or attend more meetings etc. If you feel you need further help then talk to your case manager as a LAST RESORT.

Hey OP, I agree with what Universe said. I just finished my contract last week but when it comes to accidental exposures— the ONLY time I have heard about someone screwing up was when they at a cake at Christmas that was rum cake. They did not get in any big trouble as they were able to prove it was from the cake. I used vanilla extract, ate vodka pasta sauce, wine braised short ribs, things with poppy seeds, used alcohol based sanitizer, alcohol based body wash/scrubs/perfume……. More things including meds, I won't even bother to list. The point being I never had an issue, I wasn't in the program for alcohol so I'm not sure if my drug testing was different but I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I took a medication from an expired prescription, it was my own RX .... Ended up having a new onset seizure at work (unrelated to the RX I took)…. Got drug tested by my employer and fired due to it being positive for a schedule 2 drug..... even though it was mine because it was expired by like a year or so I got put into the program.

Hey everyone, I completed my contract about a week ago. It was a 2 year contract. I told myself when I finished that I would do my best to try and help others feel less afraid/overwhelmed since that's how I felt, especially in the beginning. If anyone has a questions about my contract or program, how I got into monitoring, some of the stuff we aren't "supposed" to know about or discuss…….or if you just need advice or a place to vent/vocalize frustrations, please reply here or if you need to reach out privately we could do that too. It's surreal to be finally finished. The biggest thing I feel now besides relief is actually very mild anxiety/gloom. I keep thinking I'm forgetting to do something. It's very hard to be fully relaxed since I'm just thinking over and over "What am I supposed to be doing that I am neglecting to care of". The way I feeling is similar to the ones you get when you don't wake up to your alarm, missed an appointment, left your grocery list at home, made plans on a day you already had plans. Please don't hesitate to reach out.

Hey there, My 2 year make is in 3 days, which would be my contract end date. I'll give you some info whenever it gets here. So far I have had extra drug tests about a month out hair, special blood (not a peth something else) through a different lab than normal... then 2 urine tests. I'm hoping they call me tomorrow and let me go 2 days early we shall see. I'm in Fl

Hey there, I'm not sure about CA but here in FL. They can make exceptions if you are stable on a controlled medication and it's not your drug of choice. It's a whole process with your prescribing doctor but it can be done. people in my group take narcotics and there is someone on adderall too.

Someone in my group is in pharmacy school, their test in pharmacy school was positive and that's why they have a contract. They aren't even a licensed pharmacist yet

Just sharing my experience.... I did not have to do rehab at all, my contract is 2 years. (I have 23 days left) I was able to work after I took a substance abuse course that's a few hours, then I was able to work.

My eval was in person, had a urine and a hair test at eval. I took an expired RX of mine a day or 2 before then had a medical emergency at work. I was recommended a 2 yr contract. No rehab of any sort for me. If you have any questions let me know.

They do stand to make money from an unfavorable eval.... But this is the only way. You can spend money and try to fight it but most of the time nothing happens and you're right back to where you started. There's people in my group that literally shouldn't be there, 0 drug issues.... But they can get you on mental health contract too, Sometimes it's better to just play their game and be done with it.

I called the testing manager for my program, she said that she sees the COC number in the system, so I'm all good on their end. I guess they just didn't mail it out as fast or something random I'm not sure? Usually urines are back in 2 days... so it's already late but it not showing on my affinity as being in lab etc is strange.

Hey y'all, I currently have 4 months left of my 2 year contract. I got selected 9/19 for a U drug screen (737675) and I completed it the same day. While at the lab the guy did have some computer issues- but I signed and initialed, got my form and left with no problems. I checked in my history as I always do.... And it's not listed there. Usually within an hour or 2 it will show that it was completed under history in the affinity app. This time however it's not there. Urines usually take like 2 days to show so now I'm like WOW! happened to my urine. I'm assuming it's a lab issue but I wanted to see if anyone else has had this happen before etc? I have 0 reason to worry but of course I'm freaking the *** out !

I'm in a different state but someone in my peer group has had like 6 dilutes in 2 years. Nothing has happened to her, they just counsel her and she's had to get extra tests.

Most people will say a lawyer won't do much or anything at all. However I had a very expensive, well known lawyer on my case. I took some expired RXs. Everyone in my group has a contract of 5+ years, had to do IOP or IP etc. My contract is 2 years and I did 0 IOP/IP. Did I get lucky? Not sure, maybe? I don't have an addiction so that obviously could have played a factor but it is interesting.

Hey, I am in FL monitoring. I will gladly give you any info that you want if you want to send me your email. I was TERRIFIED... when I started 1 year ago. But I have 1 year left. It's been easy peasy for me and my experience has been pretty smooth for the most part. It doesn't have to be scary or overly complicated and I wish I had someone to guide me through it in the beginning. Just let me know

Hey everyone, I am in my 2nd year of a 2 year contract. This is my first time filing taxes. I was wondering if you guys deduct the costs of the program as a work related expense? I know some people have and I just wanted to ask and see what you guys have done in the past?
