  1. Has anyone taken both the NCLEX and the oiiq and can tell me how these two exams compare? I am a Canadian nurse who studied in English and I got most of my experience in the USA. Now that I have moved to Quebec I need to take the oiiq exam in order to get a permit. I guess I want to know how to prepare for the oiiq. Do you think that by doing NCLEX review questions I will be prepared for the oiiq? Resources to study for the Oiiq seem pretty scarce. How did you prepare for the oiiq and overall what would you say makes the oiiq different from the NCLEX? Thank you.
  2. Hello, In am curious to know how the transition to French was for your friend and how she managed to integrate the health system. I am a Canadian nurse educated in English and now working on getting my permit, I am fluent in French but would need to learn medical terms. Thank you,
  3. Any nurse here has experienced been educated in English and transitioned to working in French? How was the transition and steps in your journey? Thanks

Has anyone a really made the move to Quebec and can walk me through their process? How is it working in French for the first time and what is required to prove that you are bilingual? I know I can get my permit but actually working in French us another story. Currently reviewing French terms to start applying as soon as I get my permit. I got my BsCN in Canada in English and have experience working is the states. Thanks
  5. Did you have to renew your license yet? If so, do you need to resend the educational requirements from your country? Thanks.
  6. Congratulations of working on your master's. I hope you had found a preceptor...did you? How about your new job? I am interested in management and wondering how long it took to get a job after you finished your program? Also, how are you adapting to your new role if you are already working? how is it different than a regular staff nurse position and what are the tasks you do on any given day? Thank you in advance, I hope you are doing well otherwise. Nina
