1. Here is a link to the schedules at GCC for Block 1 to help give you an idea.... Welcome Nursing Student | Glendale Community College
2. @Bailando I don't know for CEP but regular placement won't be until October or so for Spring 2016.
3. @heycaitu I'm hoping we get in finally! Glendale is closer for me but Gateway would be fine too...I'm just ready to start!
4. 12/2012 8:00 but from what I understand this wait is NOT the norm at all anymore....I deferred a semester and also limited on my selections....
5. heycaitu ~ What did you end up picking for 1st, 2nd, 3rd choices? I did 1-Glendale eve/wkd, 2-Gateway eve/wkd, 3-Glendale weekend day
6. I'm anxiously awaiting also! I changed my choices to only 3, the night and weekend programs and I have a VERY old timestamp since I deferred last semester. I've been waiting on this day for a long time! I'll let you know when I hear something!
7. Looks like it is time to re-affirm interest. I deferred last semester to have a better chance at the night/evening programs so I can continue to work. Now I see there are very limited spots for Glendale which is my 1st choice, I guess they are all for CEP?
8. When do they usually do the Fall re-affirm/placement run? Seems like it should be coming up soon! I deferred last semester and changed my selections to the only 3 that will work with my schedule so I am pretty sure I will get placed this run.
9. I decided to defer until Fall Semester. I sent in my deferral today for SCC. Hoping to get night/weekend program in the Fall!
10. This is exactly what I am going through. But I would rather wait another 9 months rather than be in a program with a schedule that won't work well for me for 2 years. I am probably going to defer but I can't seem to make myself do it yet
11. From all the past posts I read, YES, when a person has deferred they almost always get their first choice the following "run". After talking with my husband, I think I may defer so that I can get a night and weekend program Fall 2015. That will be my best chance at success since I work full time. I feel stupid now that I even put 5 choices on there.....I mean they specifically say "only put down choices that you actually want". I should have just put the 3 programs that had night options.......
12. Thanks. I'm 40 and this will be my 2nd career so I really don't want to wait until next Fall. I'm really really hoping I can convince my employer that I can make this work and still be a good employee.
13. I, too was accepted to SCC for Spring 2015! It was my 4th choice however. I was hoping for a night and weekend program. But, I've been waiting this long, I'm excited! My timestamp was 12/12 8:00:58. Now to have the conversation with my employer that I want to go to part-time. This will be a toughie for me. I"ve been there 10 years. Anybody know what days and times the SCC program classroom and clinical are?
14. I think I saw somewhere that it would be classroom two nights a week (6:30-10:00) and one weekend day (either Friday, Saturday or Sunday) for clinical. I'm sure there would be other out of classroom work required, but I don't know if it's considered "hybrid" or not.....
15. I am 12/07/2012 08:00:57AM time stamp. Really hoping for a Spring 2015 placement! What are your choices? My choices are Gateway evening, Glendale evening/weekend, Glendale weekend day, Scottsdale Traditional, Phoenix College traditional. The Scottsdale and Phoenix College would not be ideal as I want to keep working, but I would cross that bridge if that's how it comes out. I guess we should hear next Tuesday?! Come back in here and post if you get a notification so we can keep each other updated!
16. Thanks for the update Gunit86, did you accept the placement and what rank was the choice for you?
17. Hi Boots, congrats on finally getting in! Do you mind sharing what your time/day stamp was?
18. I am 12/12 8:00am so I know I have some time....just curious if I have a chance of getting placed in Spring 2015....I only want night or weekend programs because I want to keep working.....
19. Hi Gaabey, yes I am waiting for placement. I have a 12/2012 timestamp. I am anticipating Spring/15 or Fall/15.
20. Hi there! Congrats! Do you mind sharing what your time/day stamp was for the Maricopa nursing program?
21. Add me to the list for the blog, please!
22. Thank you for posting this! It is very motivating!
23. Why don't you try the Nurse Assisting-LPN-RN route? That way you can work as a nurse assistant part-time while going to school for your RN? I would not spend 45k for a two year degree. Don't stress about your age, you have some time in front of you, no need to rush into a decision!
